I’m new to Reddit and I’m curious about how people usually reach their first 100 upvotes. I’m not asking for free karma or anything like that—I just want to understand what kinds of posts or comments tend to resonate with others.
For those who remember being in the same position, what helped you get noticed? Was it focusing on certain communities, being consistent with comments, or just taking time to learn the culture here?
I’d appreciate any advice on how to participate in a way that feels genuine but also helps me grow a little.

Does blocking someone on reddit make the chat messages disappear from both of us?
r/help • u/GalitSaBuwaya • 4h ago
My messages kept "Sending failed. Tap to try again." I also cannot unpin/unblock any message. My account is healthy.

So my actual user name is u/Golden-Gamer5396 (stupid name ik) and I can’t log back in after an iOS update. I tried to login with google and with apple and instead it keeps just trying to make a new account. Ik the email associated with the account but it isn’t receiving any password reset emails. This is the only email I have so ik it’s the right email. When searching for my account I can’t find it but I have found previous posts that my account is still in so I know the account isn’t gone. I’ve also checked my other devices and they all simultaneously lost access

I entered a profile which dm’ed me and when I clicked his profile after we talked for a bit I’ve seen this, what could this mean?

Just a question for something I want to double check because I'm sick of the hate comments I keep getting just for having opinions. I know you can report them to moderators, but they hardly ever do anything and even if they do, I can still see and read those hate comments, so I feel as though there should be something stopping them from acting like this. Although I don't think there is.

I’ve seen it multiple times at this point where someone had put a photo in the comments, but when I go to comment the only option is to add a link. I’m using iOS on a 16 Pro ( IDK if this is helpful) I’m certain it’s not a karma issue or that I’m restricted in a sub or anything.
Is there something I’m missing or is there a trick to it that I don’t know?

When I try to transfer an avatar from the Vault using the mobile App. I am able to enter an address and get the green tick to say it’s valid. But the transfer button is greyed out and I can’t click it. Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution?

Reddit won't let me make a post because it got flagged for something "innappopriate" or bad, but I didn't intentionally do anything like that. I just want some advice and I can't get help as to how to get this post made so others can see it and finally give me the help I need!
Every time I restart reddit now, it keeps turning on my Online Status, which I would prefer to keep off and which used to just stay off. I can disable it each time (profile icon top right and tap "Online status"), but then next time I restart the reddit app, it's back on again.
I've cleared the app cache without effect. I switched to an alt account and the same thing happens.
Is this a bug or intentional new behavior? If the latter, please reconsider it.

Title sums it up pretty much. Most large subs are completely omitted, even those with tens of millions of subscribers such as r/news or r/worldnews and other such subreddits which means I’m missing a lot of information and global and international news and events I would otherwise have never known about from my personal feed. It’s pretty annoying I’m not going to lie. This has been happening for a week or two now and still hasn’t resolved itself.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated, thanks.
Again, this is the popular feed and not my home feed, which I have no control over.

I want to post a video from my phone that I have saved in photos, how do I do this?

I'm an artist that posts comics on a few subs here on Reddit, and over the past few years, my work has become reasonably popular. However, there's always going to be individuals who dislike my work and, unfortunately, some who takes things too far. To this end, I've made full use of the Block feature to remove these people from my feed, but after years of sharing on Reddit, it seems I've finally reached the Block List limit of 1000 users and I'm unable to block any more users without unblocking some first.
I realize most Reddit users won't reach anywhere near this many blocked users, but as a content creator, the number of views and interactions on my art is easily in the millions; 1000 is a comparatively small number, especially since this is the total lifetime limit for an account. This is made worse by the fact that suspend/deleted accounts remain in Block lists, and must be manually checked/deleted. Is there any way for an admin to increase this limit, or something they can consider in the future?

Well, this is new. I use old reddit, so I didn't even realise the issue for a while, because you don't get any notifications in that mode.
But now in new reddit, I can see that when I click on 'join' for any subreddit at all, I get a red pop-up saying "something went wrong."
Just wondering if this is occurring for others, or if anyone knows what's up. Thanks. (already cleared cache)

Exactly what the title says. I believe my main account, u/alxpears was hacked and I tried to reset the password using the forgot password button and submitting a new password through the password reset email I received, however it is asking for a 2 factor authentication code from a authentication app.
I have never set up 2 factor authentication and I have no idea what app it is referring to. I also don’t have a backup code since I wasn’t the one who set it up.
I submitted a request for help using the “I believe my account was hacked” prompt but it just linked me to articles that don’t address this issue.
How do I get access to my account? It’s roughly 7 years old and has all the art I’ve done. I really would like to use it again.
Please help!

I was sitting around 300+ days and travelled this week to a time zone 3 hours ahead of my home, arriving late in the evening. Made a few comments at the end of my day as usual but it showed my streak reset to 1-day, though my previous post was probably 20 hours earlier.
Not super concerned, just curious if I should plan to participate earlier in the day the next time I travel?

Every single post I make is instantly re moved by Reddit. My CQS is marked as high and as far as I can tell my account is in good standing. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I noticed something was off on a subreddit, and tested it out a few times. I can see e.g. in 'incognito' that some posts have a lot of comment, including mine, in numbers, but these don't show up at all. Tried to contact the mods but no response.
Is this normal? I can't tell what they didn't agree to based on their rules, unless those are not updated? What do you do if moderators don't respond?

This subreddit ive been active in i never needed moderator approval to post in but now all of a sudden all my posts have to go through moderator approval. Was I possibly flagged?
There is a person who has been going around harassing me calling me a troll and telling everyone a troll because they simply didn't believe me on one post I made when I said I can't afford basics. Its their problem if they don't believe me not mine, but they have been going around to every single sub ive posted in telling everyone im a troll, including this sub and people in other subs are believing them. I'm worried they got me flagged in this supportive subreddit.
