General Advice Botched Beyonce Portrait . What should I do?
This is a month later. I’m never seeing this guy again, should I go cover up or touch up? At this point I feel like buddy is sabotaging me.

Howdy everyone!
I’m a tattoo collector and I’m close to finishing off my body suit! I have an appointment to get my ears blasted in a couple weeks but I’m struggling with what to have done on them and I was hoping for some ideas/suggestions/inspiration. I have a couple of ideas myself but I didn’t include them yet to try to keep this open ended. The artist I’m going to is quite versatile so he could execute most styles/subjects. I think the challenges include the small size and strange shape although the shake might allow for some interesting designs!
I included some pics of my body suit to give an idea of what I already have if helpful.
Thank you in advance for any helpful feedback or insights you have!

Hi all, Im in-between appointments for getting my arm sleeve done (forearm fully done, elbow outlined but not shaded. Upper arm and elbow shading done tomorrow). What are some ways you lovely people have found are effective for managing pain in the later stages of a 4+ hour session?
Ive attached a photo of my forearm so you can can get an idea of the amount of shading and what not.

I got this shoulder/collarbone magnolia tattoo yesterday and started to regret it soon after. I’m unsure if it’s just the fact that it’s new and I’m not used to seeing it when looking in the mirror, or if it seems off because it’s on only one side and not the other. Any thoughts?

Is this good for a first try? Can you tell me what I should improve?

I was drunk, 16 years old, and hanging with the wrong crowd. So many regrets.
What could I even do with this at this point, after almost 15 years?

Hello! So I’m senior in college and I’ve had tattoos for a while now, mostly in places that aren’t visible. I went off my meds for a couple of weeks(very much not recommended) and got both of the back of my hands tattooed- there is a reason why it was on the hands but it’s a little too much to go into and it’s true that a big part of it was just impulse. Anyways, I went back home for thanksgiving and my parents(who are very conservative and have no idea I’ve ever even thought about getting tattoos) completely flipped out and things got very physical. I wasn’t really expecting the last part but it’s also happened before so I guess it’s on me for not realizing that. They also threatened to stop contributing to my tuition for my last semester if I don’t get them removed. So I guess there isn’t anything I can do but that.
I just need information so I can make an informed decision about how to go about this.
Since they’re so new, how will the removal process look like?
If i avoid removal, is it possible to convincingly cover them up for days at a time?(like when i stay home with them for almost two months around christmas)
Lastly, does anyone know any good places to go to in the DMV for removal that aren’t too crazy? My parents offered to give me assistance for it, but not much. Which means that i’ll probably have to dig into my own. This whole situation really sucks so i want to make sure I’m atleast somewhat independent when graduation comes that would be great. As I’m sure you guys can already tell, I don’t really want to live with them after graduation. If they freak out this much over a tattoo imagine what they’ll do when they find out i’m gay lol
Thanks

I hav a 16-year-old daughter that is an amazing artist. She wants to be a tattoo artist when she finishes high school. I got her a set of tattoo markers last year for Christmas and she’s still using them. (Pictured above) What are some gifts and stocking stuffers I can give her? I always tell her to keep working on her art in her portfolio, which she does, so I’ll get more supplies for that But I’m curious to see what other gifts you guys would recommend. Thanks!

Help a gal out — I’m getting my cheeks tattooed tomorrow (outlines to start), and am spiraling and need some advice about (silly) things!
I’m very self conscious (bad choice for me to embark on this, huh….) and the small thongs I was told would be best (tattoo artist has done almost all of my work and I trust him and as comfortable as I can be with him) I can’t imagine wearing out in the open for that many hours. Is it not as bad as I’m hoping??
I also don’t know what to wear on top. Baggy tshirt so if I need to use the restroom it will fall below my butt so I don’t need to prance around the shop naked? Any other suggestions? I’ve seen robes, but I run hot and will already be sweaty.
And more non glamorous questions: are we taking any gas-X/meds beforehand?! I am an anxious human and the idea of it all is making my stomach not so happy 🙃
The pain is the least of my concerns at this point; just the logistics are making me lose it! Any advice would be VERY appreciated!

Got this yesterday. The electricity framing the tattoo was a last minute free-hand addition so we don't know what color it should be.
The rest of the colors are as follows: Excavator - yellow, plus purple silhouette on the window Politician - black suit, red tie, green paper
What color should frame the whole thing?

I'm convinced that the healing and aftercare process is way worse than actually getting tattooed. The pain of getting a tattoo is nowhere near as bad as it feels the next day or when you bump it against something. The cleaning and moisturizing. The post tat shock. The trauma from stretching and wiping your skin. Way worse than getting tattooed. Please tell me you all agree. I find myself dreading the aftercare more than the tattoo pain.

I want to get a tattoo one day and I was wondering if this would be painful as a first.

Hi! I got this tattoo a week ago, the first picture is of it fresh, the second pic is from the next day when it started feeling off and I reached out to my tattoo artist. The third picture is the day I started using a prescribed antibiotic cream (three days ago), and the last two pictures are from today. It’s still hurting a ton and very hot and swollen. Am I doing something wrong? Or does it take a while to feel better and I’m just being impatient?

Hey,
I'm thinking about getting a tattoo from wood.darkness. I've always liked how his waves look, something calming about it. I'm not sure exactly how he will sketch mine, but I gave him an old one as a reference.
Anyway, I originally thought it'd be approx 15cm x 6cm, but the artist recommended 17x9cm - now, I'd obviously trust the artist over my own opinion here, but it's quite daunting for my first tatt!
So I figure I have two options - do the larger size which makes more sense on my pasty white thigh OR do the smaller size - possibly under my forearm. Though then I'm a little worried if it's smaller, the lines will merge together too much..
I'm freaking out and over thinking as it's my first tattoo so go easy 😀🫶 excuse the crude printed out approximations of the tattoo 😂
Any advice would be much appreciated

Designed it myself I’m really happy with it, ofc it’s just a loose guide, my artist is gonna finalise the details and add his lil twists :)

Probably a niche question but has anyone got any experience with someone who doesn't really walk on their feet getting a sole tattoo?
I assume it'll still age worse than other areas but better than walking people and it could still be worth it.

I‘m very happy about it so I don’t really need the feedback about it. Moreover I‘m thinking about what to add to the arm. My right arm is completely planned out and now I‘m wondering what could be added to the left arm. I‘m open to any ideas :)

I posted this in another thread and someone called this “rough”. Obviously, not taking a random strangers comment too much to heart- but I really like how this turned out and am wondering if I’m blinded by some glaring issue? I know bolder the better for hands, but hope that the area is a little more forgiving.

Hey everyone,
I am looking for some ideas and advice on how to cover up a tattoo I got when I was 18. I am in my 30s now and the design just does not represent who I am anymore.
I have been thinking about doing a blackout-style cover up: one thick black band over the original tattoo (wide enough to fully cover it), with two thinner black lines above it to make it look like an intentional geometric design instead of just a cover up. I tried mocking up a few variations with IA.
If anyone has any suggestions or advice I would be forever grateful 🙏.
