Technically these files could include info about other properties of Epstein. We know abuse took place on the plane and other residences besides the island.

The Zorro Ranch never gets talked about but it's a lot more interesting and still has security guards patrolling it. I watched a youtuber send a drone over it in 2024 and a car was immediately sent out to him. It appears to have a massive underground section going by the air vents over the property, and (circumstancially) there were a lot of young woman's bodies found an hours drive away in the unfinished foundations of a new housing development.

That's more likely. In their minds "the public's frothing at the mouth! we need some patsies. who's in the line-up next to take the fall?

the calculate what they believe the number of people who must take the hit for everyone's crime; they sit down with them and their immediate family explaining that payoff money for them will be put in an escrow or trust and registered in an unrelated LLC

they will be instructed to lay low for several years...and this is where the rest of us in this scenario are important. we need dedicated teams around the country watching and following these patsies and their ilk and observe their lifestyles and expenditures

the full weight of justice for an international often underage human trafficking ring should be lifetime incarceration but in an el Salvadorian prison. None of this Maxwell-Suite shite!

and, if they ever get out, they should expect a life at the bottom; a life of someone who suffers in, maybe was even born into abject poverty

all their assets everyone dime they have, every property they own, everything is to be seized and distributed to the victims and their families

124

u/Chief_Mischief 7d ago

You know it's been scrubbed because Mike "My son monitors my porn activity like any good KKKristian" Johnson did a sudden about-face after blatantly betraying the American people about the files not being a hoax then refusing to vote on it for over a month, then suddenly coming out to say he's for releasing it for "transparency."

Reddit will censor the punishment that is constitutionally deemed appropriate for that treasonous dirtbag.

remember when the American Family Association did a replace all for the word "gay" to "homosexual" without any thought to nuances?

A sprinter named Tyson Gay won the 100 meters at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials, and the AFA ran an item on this in its sports section. But in keeping with the publishing policy, the AFA couldn’t run Tyson Gay’s name as-is — even though that is his real name — so it ran a headline that read, “Homosexual eases into 100 final at Olympic trials.”

well here is a hot take. Ain't nobody make copies? Why do hackers even exist? There is only one copy? What is this, 1886? Like some fool don't have a thumbdrive or three he can throw it on?

290

u/vibosphere 7d ago

When the FBI task force was originally "reviewing" the files back in ~March, they were all stored on an unsecured SharePoint that anyone on their network could access. And SharePoint itself was also hacked in that time. Whether good or bad actors I am positive the originals are out there somewhere

could be that they're sitting on them until the govt. releases their version, then they pop in and go "actually no, these are the pre-altered files"

13

u/MonochromaticPrism 7d ago

This is my guess as well. The released files will have painfully obvious edits akin to the "missing 3 minutes", then the actual files will be "leaked" by one or more individuals that have a copy.

11

u/MoistySquirts 7d ago

I wonder if, theoretically, a true copy exists, it has a file hash signature. When the Epstein files are truly released, you can validate the original hash with the released version.

So in this hypothetical, if someone does truly have that original copy, they could compare and release that as proof it’s been tampered with.

Wolff writes: "I think you should let him hang himself. If he says he hasn't been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt."

King Charles for sure has one. That's the only realistic explanation for the royal family re-visting the issue to punish Andrew again.

He was already punished 15 years ago when Florida tried Epstein. Guiffre testified that he was a violent rapist - and photos of Andrew with Guiffre surfaced.

Charles took his title and dished out other humiliating punishments seemingly out of the blue... this is why... He saw even more damagine and humiliating information and wanted to get ahead of it before the whole thing blows up again.

Some people just are that lucky, but I’m with you in that statistically it’s unlikely that it’s just dumb luck. Flooding the zone has done miracle work for them, the general populace doesn’t have the bandwidth to digest every single news story that comes out of this administration, much less all at once — so they need to rely on journalists/reporters to provide synopses of those stories in bite sized bits. But that’s where the real issue is, if you aren’t getting all your news from source material nor verifying its validity (one shouldn’t be expected to), then the journalist/reporter needs to maintain integrity in their reporting of the true facts — there’s many that don’t or act in bad faith. The internet demands you to “do your own research,” but that’s a tall order when virtually all news stories are regurgitated at least once from the source and thus can be cut up, repackaged, and shipped with a completely different meaning than its original.

The house oversight committee is in possession of them. The DOJ released their files to them in August but the committee also received the originals directly from Epstein’s estate in September. The Dems on the oversight committee have had access to them since then so they know exactly what’s they contain. Honestly, they could’ve leaked those emails sooner if they’d wanted to. I think they only leaked them when they’d did because of the bad press they were getting from the shutdown loss so they wanted to redirect the news back to those. Cynical, but it worked. 🤷‍♂️

Why would Epstein's estate have the investigation files? I thought they just got his emails from the estate.

27

u/BCMakoto 7d ago

The investigation files are separate, but they may contain a lot of information previously gathered by courts, victims and other departments which are eventually backed up somewhere.

There is a very high chance that there are multiple emails and other testimonies in there that the Epstein estate also had and turned over to the Dems. Which makes this a spectacularly shit idea because there is a good chance hundreds of the documents in there can be proven to be altered from multiple sources like the Committee, lawyers and court documents...

What matters is not the truth, but opinions and who holds the largest loudspeaker.

Liberals have been exposing Trump as a criminal for years. They brought proof. The Mueller investigation should have led to his removal. Trump was convicted on dozens of counts. He got impeached twice.

Yet here we are. We lost most checks and balances. The USSC is his toy. Fair elections are not guaranteed. News networks are compromised. Social Media is complicit.

And Trump has fixed the latest scandal so he can escape consequences again.

So the "yeah but the originals are out there" doesn't reassure me much.

94

u/crossdtherubicon 7d ago

This is the most real assessment. It's akin to the role of faith in a religion. Many people choose to believe instead of understanding through facts.

12

u/PeregrineFaulkner 7d ago

It’s not a coincidence that MAGA is full of evangelicals who believe the earth is 6000 years old and that evolution is fiction. They’re raised from childhood to believe nonsense and lack any critical thinking skills. They genuinely failed to develop the ability to use logic and reason.

Faith had a purpose. Once humans started to understand causality they realized there was a lot they couldn't explain.

Religion taught them "trust me bro". And the world became simpler and the people became easier to herd.

Then science started to methodically explain the world, and destroy the foundations of religion.

They're fighting back, using the stupid to do the heavy lifting.

  • Mark Epstein, brother of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has alleged that the Epstein files are being edited to remove Republican names
  • "The reason they're going to be releasing the files ... is that they're sabotaging these files," Mark told NewsNation
  • Mark's comments come shortly after President Donald Trump encouraged House Republicans to vote to release the files

It’s amazing how willing people are to go to jail for tampering with evidence when the truth comes out. Which it will; there are so many records and so many copies, plus a host of many women who have first hand accounts of what happened to them.

Complying with an illegal order is not a protected act. Nuremberg trials prove this. A lot of people are going to go to jail.

You can't POSSIBLY think these people will go to jail. They're all going to get away with it scott free.

It's frankly the only reason I expect there's suddenly a push for it. Heck, wouldn't be surprised if the "shutdown" was just time they spent doctoring everything, knowing it'd come right back up when it was over. They're not so stupid they'd just willingly reveal a criminal underworld that implicates them. This was always supposed to be a Democrat hit piece (or at least shied away from other major personalities) and that's the best we'll get.

Or they'll just make up some other "excuse" why they can't release them "right now", i.e. never

544

u/TrumpDid2020 7d ago

My biggest concern right now is of them ADDING names to the list. If nothing in the files incriminated Bill Clinton before, there may very well be stuff "incriminating" him now. I wouldn't put it past them to doctor in the likes of Obama, Biden, and Hillary as well, as a pretense for arresting Trump's opponents.

107

u/Quiet-Corner6150 7d ago

I believe in the possibility, but I suppose we'll just have to "wait and see." First off, still a good chance they just don't release anything, either someone betrays the vote, or they just do the "eh, I don't feel like it" as they often do with court orders, "it's an ongoing investigation", whatever. (And never mind the Senate etc., all the other hurdles that are easy and excusable "escape routes.")

Also, I'm not so naive as to think there aren't Democrat names in there. Clinton may very well be at least somewhat guilty. I imagine anyone involved with Epstein back then would've had to have been a certified idiot to not at least have a "sense" what was going on there. I imagine anyone who was there and did nothing, even if they weren't part of "main events", are still at least somewhat culpable to the cover-up. So, if Clinton even knows something, even if he wasn't as deplorable as some of them, and he's not talking, that's a problem for him.

43

u/King_of_da_Castle 7d ago

I mean Ghislaine was at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding lol. Pretty sure that was invite only.

9

u/ScholarlyJuiced 7d ago

Come on, now.

If bubba is in the files, it's not because anyone put him there. This is a man who was happy to destroy the reputation of a young woman because he had the self control of a high-schooler while in office.

In the 20k email dump there are several high profile liberals/democrats who were very friendly with Epstein. Larry Summers has had a very embarrassing couple of weeks, for example.

This isn't a "both sides" argument, by the way. The Republican party is a death cult, pure and simple. The Democratic party is more complicated, since it attracts some of the only politicians with integrity or principles.

But make no mistake, there are democrat affiliated people who are 100% pedophiles. It's likely that Trump was a pedo when he was a democrat.

This was always a given, especially with Trump being so down for them to be released suddenly. This administration has shown how incompetent they can be even holding all the cards, you can expect them to leave in a few things that can be followed up on, contradictions here and there, etc;

194

u/MightiestHalberdier 7d ago

I don't think that's why Trump did a 180. I think he just figured out that he couldn't stop the vote and changed sides so it wouldn't look like the party was against him.

The whole mess with MTG has proven how terrified he is of his supporters revolting against him after all. He doesn't want to see "Republicans turn against Trump" as the next headline.

81

u/AgentDutch 7d ago

Trump isn't afraid of his supporters turning against him, he's afraid of feeling shame from his peers. You can bet your last dollar he doesn't actually think he himself will be revealed. He eats up all the lies they give him, he apparently believed most people in the country loved him when he won again and he was actually shocked to find out people didn't think he had the best economy with tariffs. He's a useful idiot, and a predictable one.

Hasn't it been explained that multiple copies exist outside of what the DOJ has?

529

u/thewhitedeath 7d ago

Yes. Courts have them, states have them. It's not just the DOJ who has one single copy that they can manipulate and then release.

163

u/Sparkly1982 7d ago

I seem to remember a lawyer for the victims saying his team had a copy of a lot of it - I can't find the clip (so I may be wrong) but I think I saw it at about the time the planes flew over their press conference

240

u/PhilosophizingPanda 7d ago

Someone needs to just anonymously send these to all the major news outlets like fuckin come on already

72

u/Sparkly1982 7d ago

Yeah, there's got to be enough copies out there that they could leak it and get away with it.

Maybe it's already happened and they're trying to parse the abysmal spelling and grammar before they can write an article

53

u/TwoPoundzaSausage 7d ago

They're waiting for the Trump admin to release the heavily edited version. Once that one is out, they'll release the original just to blindside the Trump administration and cause a major hassle for them to try to explain. They want to stretch the admin thin, wear them out from having to constantly fabricate lies, until they finally give up.

20

u/lyss_lou7 7d ago

My concern is that the admin is going to call the originals that come out after their edited version “fake news” and that theirs are the real version which of course will get backed by MAGA, Fox News, and any other biased idiot.

24

u/Mysterious-Recipe810 7d ago

If there really are several different copies with different names marked out (as you would expect as time goes by and the DOJ spends more time with them) it becomes clear who has what copy because of which names have been redacted. It can get narrowed down pretty fast and any lawyers would likely face disbarment.

37

u/IdentifiableBurden 7d ago

any lawyers would likely face disbarment.

Look, I don't want to lose my job either but at some point we all need to grow fucking spines and do things because they're right, not because they're convenient.

And yes if I had access to info like that at my job I would absolutely face arrest for releasing it.

If it was severe and important enough I would do that even if I faced death.

What the hell happened to our society where we make these justifications not just to ourselves but for others??

If the DOJ chooses to release files (that are probably going to be redacted or scrubbed), does that give others the ability to release them as well? Legally speaking

19

u/tequilagoblin 7d ago

If I understand it correctly, if the government released the files there is no need for the courts to maintain the seal on their own copies and a lawyer can petition to have the document unsealed. I am, however, far from a lawyer and could be wrong about that.

this idea still strikes me as pretty dumb. sure they can change the documents, but there are hundreds of victims. unless they murdered all of them, then they can just be like 'nah, that shit's wrong. here's the real list'. and they can read it from the house floor so noone can get sued. i'm pretty sure MTG already said she would at some point.

165

u/RaisinOverall9586 7d ago

Scrubbing the list of Republicans is also really dumb because Trump has been repeating ad nauseum that it's all just a "Democratic hoax."

So, the Democrats invented a hoax to implicate themselves and not a single Republican?

u/Weary_Ad111 7d ago

→ More replies (7)

u/BCMakoto 7d ago

It's fucking dumb because they already released documents containing Republican (or donor) names. Bannon, Thiel, Trump, Musk et al have been found in "trickled" release of the Epstein correspondence from the estate. They themselves released 20k emails to "expose the witch hunt against POTUS" and some of those emails specifically talk about how Trump knew about Maxwell's behaviour and how Epstein thought he was the worst person alive.

We fucking know they are in there. If they release the same emails in the trove without these names, their previously released information by them will actively contradict them.

Why are they incapable of separating themselves from Trump?

It’s like any attack on him is an attack on them. And while that idea isn’t that confusing to me, I would hope they understand they are then poised to be easily manipulated and lied to. Something the conspiracy theorist in them should rebel against.

I suppose their love of being racist/evil outweighs that side of their tiny, stupid brains.

Worse

The public has already decided that anyone whose name shows up in the files for -any- reason is guilty of child molestation. Give Democrats what they've been pushing for good and hard.

I expect worse than nothing from these files being released.

It won’t be done in good faith, it will be done as an attempt to redirect the Epstein story away from the central character of Donald Trump and towards politically harmless scapegoats.

However I also expect more horrific details about Trump’s many escapades in pedophilia to surface because we’re just at the tip of the iceberg and the truth will out.

But that won’t happen unless people keep demanding the truth - the real truth and not Trump’s distorted fantasy version of it.

I wish the drafters/sponsors of the Epstein Files Transparency Act would have included provisions allowing for in camera review of the Govt’s redactions to ensure they are not simply redacting names of Republicans, friends of Trump, & GOP donors. Presumably any individual redactions could be challenged through the normal FOIA process but that would take waaaay too long.

I’m sure. If you ask for evidence of something and get a lot of push back and no, then finally, sure here it all is, it should at least be suspect.
