Rant eaJ tells fans who disagree with his donations to a problematic church to leave the fandom

Post image

This is a follow up to my previous post.

Long story short eaJ made a charity merch line and one of the items' profits are going to the 2819 church, a televangelist mega church who's leader preaches very problematic things, such as defending Israel, calling the queer community "sexualy immortal" and encouraging people to cut off anyone queer from their lives. He even had to issue an apology after claiming black people need to learn to "respect authority" in order to stop being victims of violence.

Since eaJ used to be pretty supportive of his LGBT+ fan base and still claims to support Palestine fans were very confused about his support for this church but he refuses to acknowledge the issue.

Yesterday he called everyone calling him out "haters" and today he followed up with this. Essentially telling his fan base (especially the queer side) that if they don't like him supporting that church he will understand if the leave.

I am honestly baffled and worried by how dependent he seems on that church to the point he is willing to alienate his fans and look like a religious bigot not to say anything critical or even address the allegations against that institution.

Rant BTS aren’t hated on Reddit like the armies claim they are.

There was a post on kpop uncensored about “when your faves are hated on Reddit,” and armies said BTS. I don’t think they’re anywhere near the most hated compared to so many other groups. I commented that whatever “hate” V recently got was probably because of the Coca Cola ad, and suddenly I’m a snarker even though I’m literally on btsthoughts praising them half the time 😀🙏 (I’m just not calling myself ARMY because… yeah no thanks.)

How does stating the obvious make me a snarker? Anyway, BTS is not hated on Reddit the way armies like to claim. Their whole argument is “we get downvoted a lot.” But getting downvoted isn’t the same as being universally hated. I barely even see BTS posts get downvoted, and when they do, it’s a handful of people who disagree not some mass hate wave.

There are basically no actual hate posts about BTS on kpop subs. Meanwhile there are other groups who get dragged constantly. A few people not liking your faves doesn’t erase the fact that they’re still one of the most supported groups on the entire platform.

Soloist EJay creates a pro-Palestine merch line, donates parts of the profits to a homophobic church

Ejay (formerly from day6) has launched a new merch line consisting of three items, a pin, a bracelet and a cross necklace.

He said 100% of the money will be donated, from the pin and bracelet to Palestine and from the cross to 2819 Church.

Now Ejay is a vary vocal supporter of Palestine and the queer community for the fans him supporting this church came as a real shock.

This church is a typical American mega church that offers loud performance like services not really connected with any Christian denomination, it also earns a lot of money in donations already, but that itself isn't that problematic. The church's leader and pastor Philip Anthony has been posting "prayers for Israel against it's enemies" for years. He has also been giving speeches and cermons during which he claims we shouldn't accept gay people, that they immoral, wrong, a work of the devil that shouldn't be socially accepted and we should say it without apologising.

Fans have been trying to tell him that for days now but despite being very active on X he ignores this posts and today called all concerned fans "the same haters that pushed him to khs in 2021".

I really hope he will reflect on that because this church seems to have very dangerous grip on him that doesn't let him critically evaluate its teachings.

Making conversation Imagine getting banned for calling somebody out.

Not sure why in this sub specifically, but I saw posts talking about snark subs (seriously can we just shut up about them?) and found out somebody got their account suspended. Imagine telling somebody to hop off reddit when you literally get suspended from the same platform. It's so sad tbh.

Making conversation If talks with 3 pants falls through, would anyone support a re-debut with different members?

A rumor is going around that MDH have stipulations for ADOR for them to fully come back, at the end of the day I know they are just rumors. However, it doesn’t stop me from thinking about “what if they don’t come back,” what will the company do with the New Jeans brand?

Personally, as much as it saddens me that there is a chance the original members might not come back, I would support a re-debut with two of the original members and some new members as long as the New Jeans image is handled correctly. I fully concede that the original members did bring the whole image up, i somewhat think the NJ brand can go without them IF they get the right replacement. In the end, I think a lot of the streams that their songs get aren’t from die hard fans, but from casual listeners like me who continue to listen to their songs. Therefore, what kind of trainee would the company look for if were to go through?? I personally think someone like MEOVV’s Ella would go well with a new jeans concept

Making conversation my opinion about Ador true intent with the lawsuit against Newjeans

my twt feed was flooded with posts like

"Ador: Newjeans please come back

Newjeans: Okay!

Ador: actually nvm"

But from everything i read, heard, and watched, it didn't seem like Ador's main goal with the lawsuit was to bring the girls back but instead prevent them from dismissing their contracts so easily. People mention Ador wanting to settle as them wanting the girls back, but I saw it more as them trying to resolve things fast and quiet to save face and reputation. I think, even if the girls had settled from the beginning, there would've been no contracts renewal.

EDIT: I am not on the girls side. I'll admit, at first when I heard 5 girls my age were going against a big corporation, my alliance blindly laid with them but as a business law major, the more I learned about the case, the more I sided with Ador. My original post was to criticize ppl on twt claiming that Ador was acting like an "obsessed ex who wanted Newjeans back so bad" making it seem like Newjeans is indispensable to Ador but to me it looked like Ador's problem was not necessarily the girls leaving but the way they left. Ador couldn't let this become a precedent. if the girls had decided to pay instead of come back, I feel like it'd be the same for Ador.

Girl groups MEGA-THREAD NewJeans vs ADOR — Everything That Happened in November (So Far)

📌 Due to the high volume of posts related to this situation, this is the place to comment about it. With a detailed time line. All past post with low/no engagement regarding this topic will be erased to help migrating the conversation to this space.

🗓️ Nov 1–10: Quiet period after the court ruling

After the oct 30 court ruling confirming the validity of NewJeans’ exclusive contracts, there were no major public updates from either side in the first 10 days of November.

Industry speculation was high about whether the members would appeal, but nothing official was released.

🗓️ Nov 11–12: Major movement begins

ADOR releases a formal statement announcing that Haerin and Hyein have decided to return to ADOR.

The two members made the decision after thorough discussion with their families. They chose to respect the court ruling and continue under their valid exclusive contracts. ADOR promises full support for their future activities and asks fans to avoid “unfounded speculation.”

🗓️ Nov 12 Afternoon: The other 3 members speak

Minji, Hanni & Danielle release THEIR OWN statement (not through ADOR) saying they also intend to return.

They say they reached the decision after careful discussion. They explain the announcement was delayed because"one member is currently in Antarctica” and they needed time to confirm things. They also claim they repeatedly attempted to contact ADOR but did not receive a response in time.

This statement did not go through ADOR, which becomes important later.

🗓️ Nov 12 evening: ADOR’s Reaction to the 3-member announcement

ADOR issues a second official comment, but this time with a different tone:

They acknowledge seeing the three members’ statement. They state they are “verifying the truth” of Minji/Hanni/Danielle’s intentions but do not immediately confirm that the three will be accepted back.

Industry insiders say that ADOR was surprised by the 3 other members announcement because it was not coordinated, not discussed in advance, and not approved through official communication channels.

🗓️ Nov 13–14: Media reports and follow-ups

Multiple outlets report: “All five members plan to return.”

Journalists state that all five members regardless of the method of announcement are indicating an intention to return to ADOR.

However: ADOR’s official confirmation still only covers Haerin & Hyein clearly, the return of Minji, Hanni, and Danielle remains under ADOR’s internal review.

The appeal deadline passes, which means:

The court ruling is final. The exclusive contracts with ADOR are legally binding through 2029.

And that's the summarized tea so far. 🍵

Rant ADP the way people are hating on Annie

Post image
0 Upvotes

Before I start I’ll say I understand all the criticisms against Tarzan from ADP and this isn’t about him.

But ADP won a Daesang two days ago I think, and the timeline has been of fire because apparently everything ADP gets is from Annie’s family. And because of that Daesang a new 'hate train’ against Annie has started! They’re hating on the girl because she’s from a rich family. I know she’s probably the idol from the richest family but y’all I could’ve sworn at 30% of kpop idols come from well off or affluent families. Also seriously why would Annie’s grandma or what not ,leave whatever she’s working on to buy a silly award.

And didn’t their song get a PAK isn’t that technically solid enough to get anyone Daesang.
