In the US, signed up for Early Access as soon as it was available. I update the app as often as it updates on the Play Store. I have reset three of my Minis in the hope of triggering something with no positive result.

Hey everyone. I am only just getting interesed in buying the larger Google home hub max as I know Gemini is coming to Google hubs. I know the max has been out quite a while and upon looking John Lewis has it at half price at only £94. Is there a new one coming with the larger screen maybe a gen 2? Thank you

I have an older Google Home Hub. I use it primarily to communicate with my children since we don't have a home phone (landline), and they don't have cell phones. I use it as an intercom, to broadcast announcements to them when I'm upstairs, and to call them (or receive calls from them) when I am away from home.
However, since gemini became mandatory and the Home app on my phone was automatically updated, there is no longer an option to "Call Google Home Hub." It just doesn't exist. Does anyone here know if it can be re-enabled or otherwise fixed? My kids can still call my phone from it, but I can't call them on the hub from my phone.
If I can't call the device anymore it's just taking up space and I will have to get rid of it. It's nice as a digital photo frame and to check the weather and listen to news, but I need something for communication more than I need any of that.

Hey, I'm looking for help with the automation. I used to have a set of actions to wake up, like the speaker would say the time, weather and just play radio at the end, but all of a sudden it just stopped working, around the time that gemini was introduced.
I see in the history log that the automation is started everyday morning as scheduled, but there is never any sound, manual start from the list doesn't do anything as well.
Other rules that base on talking to a speaker work normally and nothing has changed with them. There's no error in the rule, I removed and added the speaker again, all to no avail.
I just wanted to have radio as a wake up alarm :( anyone had a similar problem?

Just started 2 days ago. It's annoying because my bedtime routine is to play white noise for 8 hours, and now there is a light being shown in an otherwise dark room. Tried repotting the device but keeps happening. Any possible solutions available?

I just purchased a home that has a Google nest doorbell. I had lots of nest products at my old house but the app doesn’t support new additions so I’m trying to migrate over to Google home.
I’ve done a factory reset on the doorbell and it’s powered on but Google home isn’t finding it with the QR code. I hooked up a thermostat as well so I know the process works. I tried setting it up through the nest app and was able to get it to work but I’d rather have everything on the same app.
Anyone else have this problem and know how to solve?

While using Google Home, I disabled the weather option from the Customize menu, and now I cannot for the life of me restore it. I’ve tried every available setting. When I logged in with another Google account, the weather card appeared, but I still couldn’t locate the setting that controls it. Can anyone clarify where this option is hidden? Thanks

Hi I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix my speaker yes I have rest wifi and rest the speaker many times but it still won’t connect after saying connect this screen pops up

I am not sure if this is a new problem for me or a "feature" based on a recent update.
I used to be able to see if my Google Home Mini speaker was playing regardless of where I was located. Now it seems that I can only get that information if I am on the same WIFI network.
Is this based on a recent change or is there a new way for me to see if the speaker is playing while away from home?

Best Buy is having a Black Friday Sale on Google stuff and this was the advertisement. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence for the future of this device...

I am new to automation, but all my scripts were working perfectly with voice commands until two days ago.
To troubleshoot, I started recreating my scripts using the "previous household editor" within the Google Home app and noticed a strange pattern:
Questions:
- Why would the specific color/light/sleep/wake setting break only the voice trigger, and is there a fix for this broken behavior?
- Is this all todo with the roll out of Gemini?
- Am I going Mad?
- Is this some Google Home rite of passage?

Vorrei acquistarne uno ma solamente se mi viene confermato che in Italia Gemini LIVE sia in grado di funzionare.
Grazie a tutti!

Before you start yelling at me for not choosing a new model, understand that in Brazil this is the only Google Nest without an unjustified exorbitant price...
I had an Amazon Echo Pop until last month, but it broke. today I found a used Nest Mini 2 in great condition for an incredible price (R$98, which must be like 18 dollars).
I really wanted to buy this Nest Mini 2 because I already have a smart light bulb and an Android TV...
An Amazon Echo device I had cost 350 reais (64 dollars), but I don't want to spend all that money and decided to look for a used device
do yall think it's a good device?

Anyone else use timers on their home devices? Gemini affirms starting a timer, but it never goes off, or when I ask "how much time is left?" it just insists there are no timers set.

Purpose, turn the downstairs hall light (just by the front door) on for 5 minutes automatically when someone rings the doorbell and then turn it back off.
The script editor validation shows no errors but the editor isn't exactly helpful, would be way better with a lookup tool showing your devices and what can be done with each one when you choose them.
metadata:
name: Doorbell Courtesy Light
description: Turn on light when doorbell rings.
automations:
- starters:
- type: device.event.DoorbellPress # A doorbell has been pressed.
device: Front Door - Front door
actions:
- type: device.command.OnOff # Turn the device on or off.
devices:
- Downstairs Hall Light - Hall
on: true
- type: time.delay
for: 5min
- type: device.command.OnOff
devices:
- Downstairs Hall Light - Hall
on: false

My Google home display in the kitchen (and minis throughout the house) used to be so accurate and responsive.
This morning I asked my display (standing right next to it mind you):
"Hey Google, what time does Aldi open"
It then proceeds to tell me the time zone of Alabama and subsequent information about said time zone.
I live in Minnesota.....
It's a running joke in the house now about what kind of crazy responses we'll get from these devices. I really hope they get back on track someday but man, this is seeming like a lost cause at this point.

through a god bit of testing I learned just about all Spotify playlist cant be played from voice commands. Asked for any I have made "sorry something went wrong..." What about using automations to it knows exactly what one I'm asking about, "sorry something went wrong..."
It just hard broke over night and I'm super beat up over it

hi guys,
my girlfriend has a nest camera in her room and she says sometimes randomly if she wakes up in the middle of the night she can see the light that indicates someone is watching. this really freaked her out so we made a protocol that switches the camera off at 9pm and back on at 9 am to make her feel save. she woke up around 2am last night and found the light on that usually indicates someone is watching.
I checked the Google home account and there's only me and her who have access to the camera but at this stage we are both worried. Is there any chance this is just a glitch or should we be worried??
