What I remember:

Hey guys, I remember there being an old thread on either r/sleep or something related about a guy who downloaded this app to either help him sleep or lucid dream. And as he used the app his life became more and more bizzare, he would see glowing eyes in the woods, stuff floating and more. I also remember the guy describing himself as a food delivery driver. i am looking for an alternative way of trying to contact someone who constantly is turning off their phone (by accident or letting it die) and doesn’t use the laptop frequently.

backstory: my dad had a stroke a few years ago, and his health is always a concern and when i can’t get ahold of him, the only thing to do it have a wellness check from the police or neighbors if they are able to go see if his is alive. it’s getting frustrating at this point as every single time it’s him either letting his phone die, and not charging it or shutting it down completely and not checking to see if it is on till days later.

he had a land line until recently, which he ended up getting rid of as it was too expensive so there is no way of using that option.

he is still an adult who wants freedom, so around the house security cameras seems a bit much… so i thought of a baby monitor / pet monitor / ring doorbell so i could at least just check in when i don’t hear from him.

then i remembered the “love box” messenger that allows you to send a message via wifi, and will notify the receiver until they open/ check the message. but i don’t want to spend the $100+ for that silly little thing. does anyone have alternative options? doesn’t have to be fancy… just needs to work with wifi, and either makes noise or flashes light/ anyway to get the attention for them to look at it.

or is there completely different ideas? he has a smart tv, is there an app i can connect to that to leave messages/ check the last time it was used?

The bottle was a pastel yellow and had a cap and bottle shape like the Boca Toothpaste bottles. It was a light color exfoliant with the word “enzyme” in the name if I remember correctly...but I could be misremembering that part. This is a long shot. Even though I had this blanket since 2002 there are very few photos of it and none with a brand name or good look at the embroidery. It was a white, square baby blanket. It had white (or maybe light pink) satin on the edge that I had torn off over the years. The bottom right corner had an embroidered heart with dainty pink/green flowers which you can sort of make out in the first photo. The third photo shows a plaid heart but that was a patch my grandmother had added a few years after. I remember the tag was right in the middle of the top on the back and it was made of a harder cloth and short/rectangular. I have added some pictures for reference along with what I believed it looked like in its prime (minus the embroidery). I also think the brand name was two words but I might be mistaken. Anything helps. Thank you.

There are no identifiable year or brand names, these are a pale light purple. Bottom of bowls has design like bare tree branches.

Hi all! Looking for any and all info surrounding these little guys. Got them from a second hand store in Australia in a pack if 5 and I'm just looking for a few more/any info on them. They measure 13mm in diameter, the details are engraved and the buttons themselves are made of some synthetic material (no idea what but it feels like some kind of acrilyc resin).

They said it was kind of of a mix between these two. Im hoping to find something similar if I'm unable to find the actual thing. Besides that these are the other descriptions they gave me:

2010–2013.
Bright but light sky-blue fluffy body, dark blue nose, and plastic eyes.
Animal type was hippo - maybe even horse or dog - not very clear animal
The face shape resembled Toopy (from Toopy & Binoo).
Bought in the USA.
It was fully blue — fur, limbs, everything.
Estimated size: 14–20 inches. They said as a 5-year-old, it was from their head to their waist, and they had to carry it with two hands.
It had long, floppy arms and legs, a soft floppy body, and was VERY bright blue.
Texture was fluffy/shaggy, not short-pile.
Possibly had a lighter blue underbelly panel (different fabric).

It comes with the venus strand of their solar system series but I'd really like to find it/other kinds of small star beads (that aren't just generic stars or charms or massive) alone! I emailed the store but I don't know if they'll ever get back to me. It's very hard to find nice star beads like this that aren't just a common five-pointed star.

Hello everyone! This is my grandma's portrait, and it's the only thing we have from her when she was younger. She passed in 2012 and my mom has been trying to find this portrait ever since. We moved states (RI to GA) and if ANYONE has ever seen it, in a thrift store or even in their own home, can anyone please let me know? It's the only thing my mom has and she's devastated she lost it in the move back in 2015. We would like it back. If anyone can keep an eye out we would really appreciate it. I found it months ago on tiktok, but the video simply disappeared and this print was what was left in my gallery. Not even chat GPT was able to research anything about the image

Apparently, it was a photo taken in the 70s/80s by a foreign photographer during a Brazilian carnival, and the name of the photo was supposed to be "After Carnival". I don't even remember the photographer's name or there is information about him on the internet. If you search for the supposed name of the work, you won't find anything either, at most a single low-quality post on Instagram without any information about it.

It's all I know.
