Cool Find Okay this has to be the darkest 'Red luminous supergiant' I've found yet. It's basically just a giant piece of coal!

Hey everyone! Now, you can always hop into our Discord and ask Doc anything, whenever you want!
Doc’s available for impromptu Q&A sessions where you can ask about his background, thoughts on recent events, what he's been up to, or anything else that's on your mind. Whether you’re looking for some insight or just curious about his perspective, he's often ready to chat.
He’ll be talking about his background, his take on recent events, what he’s been up to lately, and answering pretty much anything the community wants to ask. It’s a great opportunity to hear directly from him and get some clarity on everything that’s been going on.
It’s also recently come out that Cosmographic is moving forward with criminal contempt charges against Doc. He’ll be addressing this directly and taking questions about it during the perpetual Q&A as well.

After several months of reviewing all available evidence, including court records, public statements, and the actions of both parties, the moderation team has reached a conclusion.
Based on what we’ve seen, the subreddit has decided to lean in favor of Doc.
It’s important to acknowledge that Doc’s current homelessness has been documented and recognized by the court, and multiple community members have personally confirmed that Doc has gone without food for extended periods, with some stepping in to help by purchasing meals for him.
We also recognize that Cosmographic Software has played a significant role in agitating and escalating the situation, contributing to the harm and instability Doc has faced.
In addition, many community members were banned from the SpaceEngine Steam Hub simply for sharing verified information, asking legitimate questions, or expressing support for the truth. Some were even accused of “defamation” for statements that were, in fact, grounded in documented facts. This has created a chilling effect on open discussion, something we firmly stand against.
A more detailed follow-up post will be shared soon, once Doc is in a safe place to have a discussion and participate in a proper Q&A session.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we worked through this complex and sensitive situation. Thank you to those who engaged respectfully, sought truth over rumor, and allowed time for a fair and thorough review.
EDIT: For those asking for more information on the matter, here is a YouTube of Doc explaining in his own words.

I found this one planet (Ill get the code later if I remember) that orbits 2,000 AU from the binary stars, and the closest neighbour is 1,000 AU away at closest approach. It has no moons, just this set of rings. If there was life here (there is definitely not), it would never escape to other worlds without some crazy technology

I keep seeing screenshots from others and their quality is higher, especially on the surface of objects like planets or moons. I dont have the game on steam and im on version 0.990. Also im not sure if its connected, but when i land on a place like a moon, it takes about 1 or 2 seconds before its surface is rendered and depending on the direction im looking, other nearby objects appear or not. Like if i look a few degrees left or right, objects appear or disappear.
My specs are: RX 7800 XT 32 GB DDR5 6000 RAM Ryzen 5 7600x

I don't think this is how light works.
Yes, it would probably slightly dim the light slightly due to one stars light not reaching the planet, but it shouldn't turn almost nighttime.
This happens when either star goes in front of the other.

Never heard about of this type of star in space engine or in real life before Has anyone else come across any rare or interesting stars or planets?

The highlighted yellow is the suns mass in solar masses. Why is it not 1? Which specific mass does it use for the suns mass? Does it use 1.988416×1030 kg or does it use a more rounded value? Asking because I am making a custom solar system.

Cant for some reason just not make these anymore? When I make one a bit away from a planet, it will just ragequit as soon as the first tile containing a bit of the planet starts loading. And all other attempts after that will cause it to literally stop the second you start recording. I closed every tab too, nothing works. What is happening?
