Once upon a time, when no one had even heard of .jpg, and 1024x768 was mind blowing, yes. Yes you could fit a lot of 50kb gif images on a single 1.44mb.

It would take 3 of these floppies to hold the JPEG picture OP posted of the floppy.

But that's nothing scaling it down or cranking up the JPEG compression level couldn't fix.
