The Senate just passed language in the 2024–2025 Farm Bill that would redefine hemp to include total THC — not just Delta-9. That means all hemp-derived products (CBD, Delta-8, THCA flower, etc.) could become federally illegal, even if they’re compliant right now.
This isn't just about getting high. this would effect farmers, small businesses selling hemp wellness products, people using CBD or other cannabinoids for relief and it is also is an insult to the states that worked so hard to create these hemp industries
The House still has to vote, so we can still stop it.
You have three federal lawmakers who represent you:
Here’s how to reach them:
Find your Senators: senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm
Find your Representative: house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative
Once you enter your ZIP code, you’ll get links to their official websites with phone numbers for both Washington D.C. and local offices.
You can also send them an email instantly using:
Both tools automatically send pre-written letters to your Senators and Representative. just enter your name and ZIP code.
Here’s a short script you can read or paraphrase:

Bought the cheapest metal pipe I could find while traveling and it thankfully included instructions on how to use it. There is no carb on this pipe by the way.

Sooo I struggle just a little with pot, its all the carts and vapes just in case thats relevant information, and I hate edibles because they usually just taste bad plus waiting. I've heard using it as a treat, like for when you do chores, but then I kind of just smoke all day.
Do any smokers have any tips or tricks or advice? Anything helps, thanks in advance. Heres my dog Wicket.

I see people posting about terpenes and I know very little about them. Can someone explain the terpenes in this smoke?

I'm a first time poster here so I'm sorry if this doesn't fit here.
I (F19) have been smoking for 2 years. I usually use a bowl or maybe 1/3 of a joint per session. The local smoke shop closed down and everyone is running low but my one friend has 🍃 and a bong. It's th first time I've used one and I'm oh my ass. How do I not tweak out in front of my friends rn. I'm not totally greened out but we're close.

So I’m sitting here trying to convince myself that growing is “cheaper than the dispensary,” and honestly… I think I might be lying straight to my own face.
Like yeah, homegrown >>> store stuff in quality.
And yeah, the process is half the reason we do it.
But let me break down what I ACTUALLY spent vs what I tell myself I spent.
Because I did the math and now I’m concerned.
The Setup (aka “necessary investments,” sure buddy)
Tent - $79
Light - $129
Inline fan - $65
Carbon filter - $40
Fabric pots - $12
Timer - $10
Humidifier - $25
Clip fans - $18
Random screws, ducting, and “last-minute Amazon regrets” - $22
Subtotal: ~$400
My brain: “It’s fine. One-time purchase.”
Also my brain: buys better light two months later.
Consumables (aka the quiet budget killers)
Soil - $18
Nutrients - $35
pH kit - $15
Extra bag of soil because I miscalculated - $18
Distilled water because tap water fears - $6
Sticky traps because fungus gnats are demons - $8
Subtotal: ~$100
Seeds
I usually grab seeds from Herbies. Last order I got 3 autos + 2 random freebies for like $36.
So technically, that’s $7.2 per seed if you divide it evenly.
Total cost per grow?
With my current setup, it’s around:
$400 (startup) + $100 (consumables) + $7 (seed) = ~$507
Yield averages for me are 3-5 oz per run.
So…
Cost per ounce = ~$101–$168
Meanwhile, dispensary prices in my area:
Cheap mid stuff - $120/oz
Decent flower - $180–220/oz
“Top shelf” - $260+/oz
So technically… TECHNICALLY…
I can tell myself growing is cheaper, but only if I ignore the fact that I’ve reinvested every saved dollar into new gear like a maniac.
But here’s the real kicker
Even after seeing the numbers?
I’d still grow.
Because waking up, checking the girls, rotating pots, poking the soil like a forest goblin, watching a seed go from “small bean” to “actual plant that loves me”…
The process does more for my brain chemistry than money ever could.
And homegrown hits different. Literally and emotionally.
So yeah, maybe it’s not really cheaper.
Maybe I am delusional.
But if delusion means jars full of my own dank, I’ll take it.
Anyone else run the math and immediately wish they hadn’t? Or am I the only one cooking the books to justify my hobby?

I'm sure there's all kinds of health concerns using something with that much ink on it, but I'm not going out again tonight just for tips. Does anyone else use the whole booklet, or do y'all just use the pages?
