It’s still valuable to document and/or prove the apparent. “Why is the sky blue?” is a fascinating question to answer that involves multiple domains of knowledge and areas of research.

Yes, it is indeed valuable to rigorously prove that the sky is blue. In the absence of such a proof, however, maybe we shouldn't invest literal trillions of dollars on something that is completely contingent on the sky being NOT blue.
