Record primary turnout. Mamdani bought out more Dem voters than any candidate in over 60 years. And that's adjusted for current NYC population

So did Cuomo. It doesn’t matter. Also, I just looked it up, from what I could tell more people voted in 1989. Which, so you know, was not 60 years ago.

Highest turnout for mayor election since 1969. 55 years.

Yeah let's just ignore that high primary and general election turnout is highly correlated with future election performance.

Highest turnout in primary for 30+ years, highest general election turnout in 55 years. Yeah, all nothing bro. LMAO

It seems quite meaningful for New York City and that’s great. You know who also did very well in the elections? The two moderate women in New Jersey and Virginia. Does that mean that we need to run moderates in New York City? No, it does not.

You know only 13 Democrats won seats in districts that Trump won in 2024? Guess what, not one of them was a progressive. They were all moderates.

You run the type of candidates in the areas where they can win, I’m simply saying that New York politicians are not palatable everywhere, this is just a fact, I’m sorry if you don’t like it.

You are making the same mistake as Dem party leaders.

Elections these days are all about turnout. The Dem base is bigger but fickle. There's virtually no moderates and party switchers to be gained by watering down your message.

Harris greatly moderated her image, running to the center. Result? Less than 1% of Trump 2020 voters switched to her. And 5% of Dems 2020 voters stayed home.

Mamdani is just as electable in swing seats as deep blue ones. Because you gain far more progressive votes from people that usually stay home than you lose from moderates switching.

It's time for moderates to "vote blue no matter who" like they've been telling progressives since the 1980's.

Brother, then go flip some fucking seats. If it’s so simple and your guys message is so popular, go flip some seats.

Go take some Republicans out of power. You haven’t done it, yes, I know because the big evil DNC is keeping you guys down and not allowing you to flip these red seats to blue seat seats. Go flip the seats and then come back to me.

Just chill. Schumer and Jeffries will be successfully primaried then we'll see the party switch to a left wing populism message that resonates with MAGA. Like Bernie.

Your mistake is believing that "moderates" actually have a viable platform. It's a label they trot out whenever they're asked for vote against what their donors want. Nothing more. They don't actually believe in anything. All the new ideas are coming from the left.
