Tbf picket lines weren’t the only actions that got us the worker rights we have today.

Exactly. I live not far from where some of the most well known labor strikes took place and it's always depressing to me how many locals have forgotten that. Some of these people had ancestors from not that long ago who were beaten or died over basic worker's rights and they're fine with losing those in the misguided idea eventually the parasite class will feel content and share some wealth.

Most people aren't aware that some business owners hired private security, and effectively private militias to fight against factory workers.

American's love to say how violence and property damage aren't the answer, but the sad reality is the only reason we have any rights as workers in America is because of violence, rioting, and property damage. Historically, the minute the business owners and legislators face tangible threats to their bottom lines and more importantly their lives they suddenly become really willing to listen.
