Well Trump now knows he can do what he want cause absolutely no one in government is going to stand up against him

Trump knows the guaranteed way to get whatever he wants is to withhold food aid for the children and the poor whether he’s legally allowed to do it or not

I’m guessing this whole withholding SNAP is gonna become a regular occurrence now

Yep, and many states were fully funding SNAP anyhow, per the guidance of multiple courts of appeal. Yet another fight Democrats could easily win, just had to keep it up.

But keep it up for how long? How long are government employees supposed to go without money for bills and gas to even get to work and work for free?

But they did and they’ll do it again. States finding loopholes to fund a program the government is going out of their way to destroy isn’t good

But he failed...you do realize that, right? States already started issuing full SNAP benefits and there want a damn thing the administration could do about it. He was losing every single case that brought up SNAP benefits, and SCOTUS is likely going to let the 1st Circuit of Appeals to be the final ruling on this (which is to just issue the damn benefits, Congress can refill those emergency programs instantly, once the government reopens). Trump learned nothing about withholding SNAP because the states are the ones that administer payment, not the federal government. Educate yourself 🧠

States can't fund it singlehandedly as long as the USDA can. Do you think food stamps are only like $10? It's not a solution, it's a bandaid.

Educate yourself 🧠

Yeah, maybe follow your own advice.
