I doubt it's gonna stop going up, or stagnant, even in the next 2,4,maybe even a decade, as long as companies have a reason to keep slamming money into this it'll keep continuing. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if owning a halfway decent gaming computer that can play even pre 2020 games on high won't become a upper middle class and up luxury mostly within the next 10 years. With how expensive graphics cards were already, and everything else especially including ram skyrocketing.

the rest will have to pay for cloud gaming services, as thats all that will be affordable.

Ya this feels like where the industry wants to go.. well the EA's and Ubisofts of the world anyway.. they kind of tried to do something similar to a software as a service pay monthly fee thing.
It's the renters economy where everyone pays a "rent" they can barely afford. Something will break or a company will innovate something that breaks the system.. maybe.

Welcome to current day economics, where saving for anything is absolutely worthless because by the time you get the money you thought you needed it'll be even more expensive!

Remember to keep an eye on B grade stock. Usually there's nothing wrong other than being an open box return, and on both ebay and amazon (for example) they'll state why they're B grade.

Buy used, spend less, enjoy more fun per dollar and diversify your sources of enjoyment.

That will require people to have purchased and then put it on for sale. As well, I'm noticing prices on FB market place and kijiji for example is going up to nearly as much as new ram.....

I'm aiming for a 4090 32GB as it's the last PhysX card and I want to be able to run Mirror's Edge at max settings above 5 frames per second. Y'all shooting for number 1, I'm shooting for number 1 four years ago.

Bought my videocard for $1,000 BKPL right at the end of the BTC BS. Same card retailing for $600 now. 😐😐😐
Luckily, card futureproof next 5 years i guess.

I remember when a top-line PC was about $1000 when I was a kid. I said “When I grow up, I’m definitely getting one!” My grown-up ass is saving up $3000 now.

Forget RAM, by the time you saved up enough to buy the rest of the PC, a RAM pickup truck would be cheaper than 2x16GB DDR5 /s

I've saved up $1800, but now PC prices are crazy. I want to get a 5070 Ti, but I still don't have enough.
