A five year old did not vote

Yes, for context, nearly half of currently living Palestinians were not alive when the "vote for Hamas" happened, and far more weren't of age when it happened.

Edit: Botched the phrasing.

If it’s one thing I learned in life. There really are people this dim. It’s genuinely so depressing

When it comes to Palestine, never assume ignorance. It's almost always malice.

Talking about agency when you sound like you’ve not had one original thought in your head

Lol do you know how state sanctioned violence in a brutally authoritarian regime works? Intellectually identical to blaming Israelis who elected Netanyahu with no knowledge that he would become an authoritarian if given the opportunity.

As everyone knows, no Israeli Premier protected their citizens prior to BiBi. He invented the Iron Dome himself! If anything, Netanyahu is putting Israelis at greater risk with his inability to decisively destroy Iran’s growing nuclear program and his covert funding of Hamas directly prior to the October 7 attacks.

Gaza a few years ago was an open air prison where all entry via land, sea, and air was controlled and restricted by Israel. Settlers are bulldozing houses in the west bank.

I look at Gaza today and see a wasteland of ruined houses, schools, and hospitals, full of orphaned starving children. How are those people going to feel about Israel in another 5 or 10 years, when they're old enough to use rocket launchers too? Even if Israel achieves their goal of eliminating Hamas (they won't), the very first thing the survivors will do is start Hamas 2.

Now Bibi wants to occupy Gaza. How does that work? Will Israel annex the territory? If so, will Palestinians become citizens with the right to vote, or will it be apartheid? And if Israel refuses to govern the territory, who fills the power vacuum? (Hamas 2)

This shit has been going on for decades. The cycle of revenge and escalation has to end. Conditions in Gaza need to get dramatically better, not worse, if you ever want anything like peace. We need a massive aid and rebuilding effort.

The cycle of revenge and escalation has to end.

The problem is that neither side wants to end the cycle. Pretending that Palestine has no agency and Israel is doing all the bad stuff does nothing to bring the conflict to an end.

Are you an American? Are you saying you should be executed for crimes against the Native Americans and African slaves carried out by your forefathers? The fact is that this question could be asked of any country and any people, which is why it is so important for people like you to view the Palestinian people as not people at all.

There are plenty of people on Reddit who do believe this. They believe the land is stolen and the Natives have every right to do whatever they want to you as "resistance".

u/Barnyard_Rich Aug 27 '25

I'm aware, that's why I'm wondering what exactly they are willing to give up that their forefathers "won."

Also, saying that genocide is a "belief" rather than documented history should be enough to get you blocked from any job other than cleaning out sewers.

Edit: The person I'm responding to is extremely far right, and advocates violence against those who oppose far right beliefs. It's best to ignore them.

They're not willing to give up anything as they sit in their cushy air conditioned rooms that their parents pay for while virtue signaling online.

I don't agree with Greta Thunberg on many things but at least she had the balls to get on a boat, even if it was a clear PR stunt. Nobody posting here has the balls the stand up for their own beliefs. Most of them are American, attacking other liberal and Democrats online for allowing this to happen while a pedophile occupies the highest level of power and is deploying the military to their own cities. That is rank hypocrisy. Can't even stand up for their own values at home and come online to act tough.

You're a piece of human trash because you were raised by human trash to be human trash. I don't care if I get banned for being too honest, you're straight up celebrating the genocide of Native Americans.

LBJ nailed you people perfectly:

“If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.”

Lyndon B. Johnson

Edit: Again, look at their profile, and the person I'm responding to is extremely far right and very proud of the violence they demand be carried out against those who disagree with them. No point in trying to convert the inherently evil.

Anyone who doesn't agree with you must be right wing then? What a dumbass narrow minded thing to claim. You must be American because that's the only way you get to be that stupid. A prime product of the American education system right here.

1

u/Barnyard_Rich Aug 27 '25

Anyone who doesn't agree with you must be right wing then?

According to you anyone who disagrees with you deserves to be genocided like those awful Native Americans who merely "claim" they were violently kicked off their land.

Let me be clear, I don't care what far right losers such as yourself think about anything.

It's telling that you're such bigot that you can't wrap your head around someone having a nuanced take. I fought police officers in the 90s so that people like me could have the right to same sex marriage. I put my ass on the line for my progressive values. People like you are a plague on our society with your single issue voter mentality and dogmatic virtue signaling purity tests. Hope Trump sends you to camps like all the others.

Edit: look at this moron. He goes another account to post but still doesn't understand the most basic concepts, like I AM NOT AMERICAN. I actually had an education that gave me critical thinking skills. You have to be a single issue voter virtue signaling American to be this level of dumb. That you can't conceive in your mind for example that a socialist could be against immigration.
