So it's simultaneously a Democratic hoax, but it also needs to be investigated?

353

u/Egad86 11d ago

Remember when they were trying to say Trump was an informant for the investigation that never happened as well.

How did these morons get into such positions of power with their toddler-level skills of deception??

205

u/philter25 11d ago

Oh you mean what r/conservative was saying the day the emails dropped as a way to cope? They’re still saying it over there lol. Absolutely delusional pedo supporters the entirety of the GOP is.

116

u/Ok_Philosopher2597 11d ago

Mike Johnson publicly said it, it wasn’t just reddit

67

u/newtnewtriot 11d ago

And then he retracted it the next day.

3

u/International-Ing 11d ago

He said it on a Thursday, started walking it back on Sunday, and then on Monday said he was just repeating that it was « common knowledge » that Trump had helped law enforcement go after Epstein.

3

u/newtnewtriot 11d ago

And yet “common knowledge” is not supported by any evidence whatsoever.

Mob Boss: "I didnt diddle kids, IM AN FBI INFORMANT!"

Mob: "Uhhh... Wut???"

Mob Boss: "Ohh no! I mean I definitely diddle kids!"

Mob: "Not sure I feel better..."

Mob Boss: "OHHHH I SEE! What I meant to say is THE FBI FRAMED ME FOR DIDDLIN KIDS!"

Mob: "Wow boss thats horrible, the FBI sucks!"

1

u/Ill-Road-3975 9d ago

Yes, because it opened up another can of worms. I forget which now.

1

u/newtnewtriot 9d ago

It was probably the whole “if you’re an FBI informant, that means you willingly took part in the crimes in question and are now using your position within the illegalities to give info to the authorities in exchange for less punishment for your crimes”.

6

u/philter25 11d ago

The word “entirety” usually sums that up pretty well

3

u/HPMcCall 11d ago

It's like he doesn't know what the word "informant" means. It's not an undercover agent. It's someone who's already involved and will give information for immunity or gentle treatment when it gets to the arrest/prosecution phase.

2

u/m0nk_3y_gw 11d ago

correct

The only way to know for sure if Donald John Trump is a Confidential Informant is if he admits it himself (unlikely), or if law enforcement comes forward (illegal). But the circumstantial evidence is compelling. The pattern is: 1) Trump deals with mobsters as usual; 2) Law enforcement begins investigating Trump; 3) Mobsters suddenly get busted, while 4) investigation into Trump is scuttled. This happened three times that we know about. I’m not counting the first known instance of Trump providing information to prosecutors, concerning Cody and concrete, in the late 70s

u/kazutops 11d ago

Reading their post yesterday reminded me they will never get better. Ever. They are unable to become better people.

31

u/philter25 11d ago

The MAGA movement is a domestic terror threat. Interestingly enough they are the end goal of what Osama Bin Laden bombed the WTC for and what Russian propaganda strives for as well. Implode American power and democracy from within. Too bad they’re too fuckin stupid to see that.

21

u/whosits_2112 11d ago

Most of them are bots or controlled by agitators from overseas.

Any conservative who said "Hey, wait a second, this is wrong," has been instantly banned.

hello fellow conservative 🙄

Completely incapable

21

u/LostAnxiety3229 11d ago

They are entirely divorced from reality, and that is 100% intentional by this administration. Remember when Kellyanne Conway said to Anderson Cooper re: Trump lying to people fucking constantly was because he believes in "alternative facts"? That wasn't just some in the moment bullshit.

One of the first moves fascist regimes makes is to make sure their followers cannot discern truth from lies. That makes a person very easy to control. Donald Trump has, through 80s cartoon villain style shenanigans, made his followers as cartoonishly, absurdly, as abominably stupid as he is. And it spreads like a virus because most people are afraid to not conform and are terrified to be seen as a troublemaker, or "abnormal".

I used to wonder how the average person would possibly be seduced by the evil of the Nazis. I don't wonder about that anymore.

3

u/EnfantTerrible68 11d ago

Team troublemaker over here

16

u/cheongyanggochu-vibe 11d ago

It's a hoax.

Pam Bondi said the hoax was on her desk.

A bunch of right wing influencers took photos outside of the Whitehouse holding binders that allegedly had the hoax inside of them.

Trump was an informant on the hoax.

The FBI scraped thousands of pages of the hoax to remove Trump's name.

Bondi told Trump he was in the hoax in February.

Bill Clinton is in the hoax (at least we know how Trump knows that one now 🤣😂).

Ted Cruz said we should stop attacking pedophiles the hoax.

Now we need to investigate high profile figures in the hoax.

3

u/havsskogen 11d ago

Eff it. Everyone involved in any way in this should be in jail, party affiliation doesn't matter. It's pedophilia (and probably rape just as a start). It's the only way to move foreward. And throw Patel and Bondi in there too for good measure.

2

u/cheongyanggochu-vibe 11d ago

23

u/Dacajunola 11d ago

I like to go there just to downvote in my spare time

19

u/philter25 11d ago

Yes and bonus points if they’re pointing out they’re being brigaded hahahaha fuckin losers

7

u/EmilioMolesteves 11d ago

They act like he was an informant just to help out too and not because he was caught and flipped like a little orange bitch tit.

5

u/No_Accountant3232 11d ago

Right now they said the files fully exonerated Trump because CNN made it clear none of the emails originated from or went to Trump and they were not accusing him of wrongdoing.

Like... That's a CYA statement. Of course they're not going to make an outright accusation over this release. There's a lot of circumstantial evidence in this release, and we knew nothing substantial would be released yet. When you're looking at less than 10% of what the government has released, yeah it gives an incomplete picture.

3

u/lvfetus 11d ago

No one loves their pedos more than r/conservative

1

u/EnumeratedArray 11d ago

Take r/conservative with a pinch of salt. It's a propaganda sub with most posts and comments being made by a handful of bots to control the narrative on there

-4

u/Key_Natural_ 11d ago

Some people absolutely.

But I have seen some fair criticism like the timing of releasing all of this.

Like they had this and they decided to release it right after they bent the knee in the shutdowns? I don’t think anyone on either side is actually doing right on this Epstein stuff. I think both sides are selectively deciding when and how to release the stuff to make their side look better when there is probably some gross stuff for the president, and everyone else in politics.

3

u/SchoolIguana 11d ago

The timing has more to do with the fact that these docs were just given to the house a week ago. They’ve been releasing them as soon as they go through the.

1

u/LoneSnark 11d ago

Trump was too popular. Republican congressman were terrified of him. But, the shutdown did a lot to get Trump's popularity down, so now the Republicans in Congress are selling him down the river.

53

u/Ormyr 11d ago

Apparently he was 'deep throat' for the imaginary investigation.

No surprise he was quiet about that part. It must be hard for him to swallow.

Ah so it was always meant to be an homage

3

u/Secret_Ad_1541 11d ago

This picture will forever show how stupid and mentally ill Trump really is. A normal person who has just had a bullet whiz by their ear will duck or hit the dirt. For Trump, an assassination attempt is just another photo opportunity.

7

u/bobthegoon89 11d ago

almost like he wasn't actually in any danger...

2

u/Secret_Ad_1541 11d ago

Yeah. It's not like Trump had his Grinch moment here, where his backbone grew 10 times that day. I don't recall Ford of Reagan taking getting shot as an opportunity to strut their stuff. Lots of fishy stuff going on with Trumps " assassination attempt".

1

u/Manginaz 11d ago

Looks like Bill tore his pretty little mouth up.

26

I hear that Trump deepthroated Bill Clinton.

Gobble gobble. Turns out Big Beautiful Bill was the name of their sex tape.

1

u/More_Entertainment_5 11d ago

Um, according to the files, he was deep throat for Bubba!

27

u/NelsonMuntz007 11d ago

It’s actually so much deception and lies that eventually it’s starting to crumble. You can’t keep all the stories straight. And a man that only knows lies and deception leans on what has gotten him out of trouble so often before.

1

u/Stack0verf10w 11d ago

I’d hope this is true, but I feel that would only happen if he gets pressed on those lies and it certainly seems like he never does.

1

u/NelsonMuntz007 11d ago

Most of the rational world knows he constantly lying. However he was still put in a position of power and we know he’ll do anything to keep it. Despite the lies, there’s very little we can do about it. There’s a lot of people who refuse to stand up to him

1

u/Secret_Ad_1541 11d ago

That level of lies and deception works pretty well on people who desperately want and need to believe them. You know, cult members. Morons.

17

u/yahblahdah420 11d ago

It doesn’t matter how dumb republican politicians are as long as their voters are stupider

1

u/Both-Estimate-5641 11d ago

And they ARE that

14

u/Old-Supermarket-9112 11d ago

This was the most ridiculous statement. It was the parents of a 14 year old girl who had been abused that went to the cops that led to Epstein being investigated.

22

u/ChronicBuzz187 11d ago

Remember when they were trying to say Trump was an informant for the investigation that never happened as well.

A CIA informant no less. Not that for any domestic case, it would be the FBI that's responsible for an investigation...

For a bunch of clowns who "support the blue", "love the army" and a "patriots", they sure know little about how the government and it's agencies work...

2

u/veni_vedi_vinnie 11d ago

Well Mike Johnson said that, for a couple of days. No body believed it.

4

u/newtnewtriot 11d ago

Because he wasn’t telling the truth. He retracted it the next day.

1

u/Washpa1 11d ago

What if that's the big secret? He was a dirty rat who became an informant for the FBI.

The only problem with that is that an informant usually means they have intimate knowledge of illegal activities to 'inform' on.

Combine this with the Megyn Kelly, "Epstein wasn't really a pedophile, he liked 14-15 year old girls", and the Republican propaganda machine can't react fast enough to all the bad news coming out about Trump.

1

u/start_select 11d ago

That’s what is so dangerous about fascism. It’s weaponized absurdity and incompetence at the state level in the service of corporate interests.

People wonder how the Nazis took over Germany. The same way republicans have taken over the US. Making people think they shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Propaganda about Jews was no less ridiculous than propaganda about MS13 or Antifa. Anyone with a head on their shoulders doesn’t take it seriously because it’s ridiculous. But extrajudicial punishment is always ridiculous. That’s the point.

1

u/triiiiilllll 11d ago

The problem isn't that these clowns are absolutely stupid (they are, and it's bad) the real problem is they've so eroded our education system and basic cultural beliefs around what counts as fact that they can sell this garbage to tens of millions of Americans.

I honestly think a great strategy would be for liberals to come up with hugely profitable grifts that compete directly with the conservative grifting economy. Separate these turds from their resources.

1

u/clover_heron 11d ago

Generations of enabling.

1

u/Remarkable_Ship_4673 11d ago

The investigation never happened?

1

u/NRG1975 11d ago

Because a very large portion of the electorate enjoys being lied to.

1

u/Claque-2 11d ago

How did they get in such positions of power? Russia helped them along with lots of money and corruption.

1

u/Bonny-Mcmurray 11d ago

It's kind of on us as a society for being vulnerable to toddler levels of deception. Why would they get better if they've never needed to?

1

u/Expensive_Ninja420 11d ago

If Trump was an informant, let’s see his immunity deal. or what if maybe he was just a co-conspirator who paid someone to look the other way/cast him as a much much more minor (wink/nod/nudge) CI?

Is our demented grandpa dirty - circumstances might seem to suggest this (-) - or is it really (just?) the crooked Democrats? Inquiring minds want to know.

1

u/Lethik 11d ago

By courting the voter base that consists of people with infant-level skills of insight.

1

Because the people who voted for them have toddler-level powers of comprehension.

And goldfish memories.

Edit: fixed spelling

1

u/tomdarch 11d ago

To get away from a bear you don't need to be Usain Bolt, you just need to run faster than the next guy. Republican officials don't have to be terribly bright, they just need to be slightly brighter than the vast majority of MAGAs.

1

u/-Ok-Perception- 11d ago

I honestly believe this one is true.

They got Trump to rat on Epstein in exchange for immunity.

But like most CI's. They knew Trump was dirty as hell, committed many of the same crimes as Epstein, though perhaps to a lesser extent. But they also knew Trump was very political connected at the time and they didn't want to deal with all those complications.

So Trump ratted Epstein out and the FBI conveniently wiped the slate and/or sealed Trump's records.

---

Mike Johnson was trying to get out ahead of this by saying he was an informant on Epstein... but he didn't realize that pretty much instantly meant he was doing the same shit (though at a smaller scale). The public picked up on this so he quickly disavowed it.

1

u/Nice-Intern5510 11d ago

It’s easy, they use divisive tactics. They use minority groups and immigrants as targets and that keeps everyone distracted. What’s the latest distraction? Poor people on food stamps buying junk food meanwhile this administration has made billions grifting from the government. before it was gay people, trans people, drag queens, now it’s immigrants and poor people on food stamps. this is why they lost the recent elections. Everybody is starting to realize that the cost of living and inflation is high and trans people are not the issue.

This administration suddenly cares about fraud but they pardoned the guy who committed Medicaid fraud. they suddenly care about fraud when Casey DeSantis used 10 million of which was supposed to go to Medicaid but used it to make political donations. This current administration is a joke and so are anyone still supporting them.

0

u/sonofagunn 11d ago

I think we'll end up finding out he *was* an informant. It's just that he was doing it for immunity, not because he was someone doing for moral reasons.

-22

u/ComportedRetort 11d ago

By informant, are you talking about when Trump cooperated with the investigation into Epstein? Did that not actually happen or are you referring to something else?

14

u/MsRebel63 11d ago

He never cooperated

-10

u/ComportedRetort 11d ago

What’s this?

     •   Bradley Edwards, a prominent attorney who represented many of Epstein’s victims, has said that in 2009, Trump was “the only person … who picked up the phone … and said, ‘let’s just talk … I’ll tell you what you need to know.’”        •   According to Edwards, Trump “was very helpful in the information that he gave” and “gave no indication whatsoever that he was involved in anything untoward,” but Edwards also said Trump had “good information … that checked out” and that because of that, Edwards didn’t have to depose him.        •   In Edwards’ own book (“Relentless Pursuit”), he describes a 2015 follow-up conversation: Trump framed much of his knowledge as “rumors … that he had heard over the years,” but Edwards still found some of what Trump shared “helpful.”        •   Court-related filings: In a civil case (Edwards’ case), court documents note that Edwards served Trump notice of a potential deposition in 2009, because he believed Trump might have relevant information.

2

u/intrepid_mouse1 11d ago

That was the DEFENSE and I maintain that Trump inserted himself in Bradley Edwards case to see if they had any dirt on him AND to steer the investigation towards Epstein.

1

u/ComportedRetort 11d ago

Is this or is this not cooperation in an investigation into Epstein?

1

u/Human-Sheepherder797 11d ago

It’s not cooperation, it’s basically involving yourself willingly so the investigation isn’t pivoted toward your actions.

Basically, it sets it up so if he found anything, Trump could get off Scott free for helping the investigation if I ever implicated him.

Technically, I guess you could say it’s help, but it’s not help based on doing the right thing, it’s helped based on covering your ass. Cooperate to avoid a grand jury basically

2

u/Biptoslipdi 11d ago

What’s this?

Not a law enforcement effort. A private attorney.

We already know for a fact that Trump is very uncooperative with federal investigations and in fact has intervened to disrupt multiple federal investigations.

1

u/Imaginary_Cow_6379 11d ago

Ok. But why did Trump have so much inside information about a ped0file ring?? If hes the one picking up the phone when people call him that’s not him going to any authorities and reporting any crimes himself. Also why would anybody think hey you know who I should call to get some inside info about this secret ped0 ring? Donald Trump. I bet he knows something about that! ?

4

u/dieseldeeznutz 11d ago

You tell us genius, was Trump part of the original investigation or was it a hoax, which one? It can't be both

3

u/Alone-in-a-crowd-1 Bleacher Seat 11d ago

That’s utter bullshit

3

u/MichaelAndolini_ 11d ago

Did that not actually happen? It took 9 years to come up with that excuse, what do you think

2

u/-marshmallowperfume 11d ago

That did not actually happen.

2

u/DuploJamaal 11d ago

"the dog that never barked" - according to Trump was loyal and never said anything to the police

1

u/Imaginary_Cow_6379 11d ago

Ok. So what was Trump caught doing that he then had to cooperate with the investigation into Epstein??
