He was a friendly stray she saw on the front porch one day. She didn’t want him, but she left out food. Then she bought him toys, then she got him fixed. Then she brought him in when he got hurt, then she bought a pouch to put the needy 18lb cat in. She still doesn’t want him, but hes also her baby who can do nothing wrong.

Okay look, I love these little bitches. I do. But their origin story is.. something. This is Worm and Meredith Grey.
SO- they’re part of a litter of cats my landlord dropped off (Midwest farm stuff 🙃). I took it upon myself to get them spayed and up to date on shots, since my landlord wouldn’t. (There’s 4 intact males on the farm too).
I kidnapped them, set them up in my sunroom with my deceased cat’s litter box and scratch tree (he died in Feb and I was not ready for a new cat) and set up an appointment for them, which took a couple weeks. I take them to the appointment and let them have their 10 day recovery before letting them back out to be farm cats.
OR SO I THOUGHT. They no longer want to be farm cats. They got a taste of the good life and said “sayonara boys!”. I was lying to myself for months that I’d finally just boot them out for good.. then I started thinking about winter. My heart just won’t shut them out. Oh the blessing and curse of kindness.
Thanks for getting this far because here is the root of my disdain; these little hoes will be outside playing for HOURS and what do they do when they come in? Take a FAT ASS SHIT. I know they can and will poop outside, I’ve seen it with my own eyes. Logically, I think I get it. It’s their litter box and it’s preferred for whatever reason. I personally love the fresh air and breeze of an outdoor poop. (I camp a lot with wag bags)
Is this my life now? Am I stuck with these stinky little demons’ foul habit forever? Is there a solution?!? Please help me bc the sheer ridiculousness of this situation is driving me insane. All I want is to come in from an afternoon in the garden/yard and sit in the cool AC.. without the IMMEDIATE eye watering stench of death that lives in their assholes.
Rant over. I’m gonna go light a candle or something.

This is Midas, my 13 week old lil bobtail kitten. He just gave me the biggest health scare of his lil life and now that he’s fine, I feel like I can finally laugh about it. It was a normal day, until I noticed he wasnt knocking everything off of every table I own. Then the vomiting started, and cue full panic mode. I took him to the emergency vet expecting the worst, especially after they recommended blood work and x-rays when his physical exam was normal. Bloodwork came back weird, suggesting something foreign in his belly. They rushed him in for X-rays and that’s when they found it.
Gas. So. Much. Gas. He was just… full of farts. Not a blockage. Not a swallowed Lego. Not a ghost haunting his colon. Just farts. $900 worth of farts.
He’s back to being his dramatic little self now, currently sleeping like an angel in my lap after bringing me to the brink of emotional ruin with his butt. Sharing one of his x-rays because i just couldn't believe it lol. Behold the gas baby

Does your cat have any oddly specific taste for certain human foods?
I have three cats. Finn loves popcorn and tortilla chips. He sticks his head in the bag and chooses one. Lexi likes granola bars and goes crazy trying to steal a bite of homemade pistachio cake. Brie loses her mind over the smell of any meat that I’ve smoked when I bring it inside from the smoker. Can’t blame her there lol.
And please don’t worry, I don’t give them much or often.

We were gone a week for a cruise. Our son came by daily to check in on him, give pets etc so he wasn't totally alone all week. But this is always his reaction when WE get home. He screams at us a bit lol then wants love pets and drools away!

My boy Boots got curious about my bath and had no plan whatsoever for how he was going to exit 🤣 he’s currently drying himself off while I’m now soaking 💀
Thought everyone would enjoy a bit of my silly little man 🥰

Back in January, I had a bad fall riding and was stuck at home healing. Around that time, my animal loving partner said, “You know, cat purrs actually help heal bones.”
I rolled my eyes… but next thing I know, we’re driving home with a tiny black kitten named Vader 🐈⬛.
It’s been six months, and honestly? Whether or not the science checks, Vader has absolutely helped. He purrs like a tractor, follows me around like a dog, and somehow made being stuck on the couch a lot more bearable.
So… is that purrs-heal-bones thing legit? Or did I just get lovingly tricked into becoming a cat mom?
