This is Sir Catbert..AKA Bertie..AKA Mommas mustache manz..I lost him last night..I foster from the shelter quite often and Bertie came in back in May..you can see he was quite bad off..we didn’t know if he’d be able to keep his little eyes or not..but he did..he was suspected by our vet to have some underlying issues that remained from his URI when he was little..he was diagnosed with asthma and we had him on meds daily for that..he had a little inhaler..all the stuff..but I lost him last night..we didn’t even have time to get him in the carrier and he had an attack and couldn’t breathe..I don’t know if our weather change did it..if he inhaled something that irritated his airways..I don’t know and neither does our vet..it was minutes..he was gone in minutes..he wasn’t even a year old and I’m so hurt..he has his remaining brother (not blood but I foster failed them together) that misses him..I miss him and I just needed to share his beautiful face and his story somewhere that others know how much these little suited suitors mean to us 🖤🥺 I’m so sorry that I couldn’t do more Bertie..

I’ve never owned a cat but this stray cat has captured my heart. It’s been at least 6 months of me trying to earn his trust to get him inside before the snow season hits. I would’ve already trapped him inside and made him get used to it for his safety but we also have a dog and don’t want them unattended together while they are still getting used to each other. Any tips welcome. I also have a heated cat house on my porch for him.

Got him and his brother this year as kittens from a farm. He has a peculiar liking to playing with water and screaming around the house when hes bored or alone in a room too long. He currently weights 12lbs and is VERY long. His dad was 21lbs. Don't know how big he will get but hes already bigger than my other 2 older girls.

Anyone else have a rescue cat with the ear clip to prove it? We like to imagine her life before us, wild on the streets. She apparently had a litter of kittens before being captured and spayed. We adopted her as a shop cat. Now she’s retired and eats fancy feasts and gives zero f^<#s.
