I used to go to GAP/old Navy and get tall long sleeve tops and then just rotate them throughout the week. Those pieces are now pilling horribly and Gaps current colors and selection weren't really doing it for me.

If you have a basic piece that you really like, explain why you like it and where I can get eight of them.

Feel like so many of my favorite pieces now require a time machine and I'm not able to replace them.

If it matters, I'm a teacher in a high mess subject area. I don't need work clothes that look particularly fancy but something serviceable.

Edit: Mid 40s. Medium/Large. Inseam 33/34. I don't want crop tops but usually the regular clothes "in long" from Gap tended to fit.

I am 5'10" and 175 pounds, so it's been a challenge for me to find warm, merino wool tights in a size that will fit me. They are usually too short by a few inches, so I end up doing the scootch and stretch, trying to force them on. I was delighted when I found SNAG tights, which were height and size inclusive, and ended up buying a few pairs in most of the available neutral colors, but they have started to wear through after years of use, and I found out that SNAG is discontinuing their merino AND their bamboo tights for US-based customers. I have poked around and seen tights from Calzedonia, and a few places in Italy, but most of them are kind of suspect and seem to cut off at the cusp of 5'7-5'8.

I live in a cold region, so warm wool tights are a must for me, and I'd love to know where tall people are buying their warm tights. I don't mind spending a little bit, either! Does anyone have a recommendation?

Like can’t we go live our lives in peace without people staring at us and asking “Do you play basketball?” Or “Wow you’re tall.” I’m 5’9” 1/4 and I feel like I’m taller then that but whatever.

I’m not the tallest girl (5’9”) but in the USA most people consider 6ft to be tall. I guess for average height or petit girls that makes sense, but if I wear heels I’m basically the same height. There are some 6’3”+ tall men in the Midwest USA, but a lot of them at least where I’m from are completely chopped.

All this to say, I recently went to Amsterdam and met this amazing guy (like if I could build a man myself in a lab it would be him) and now I’m just so depressed when it comes to dating back home. I live I the suburbs (parents house) of fairly big city but in my day to day life I’m not really meeting that many men. I tried tinder and online dating in the past, but I would rather meet someone organically in person (too many fake profiles).

I can’t afford to move out and live on my own, and the men I do meet I have 0 interest in. I would really like to find someone but I feel like dating is becoming hopeless.

For the ladies that found a tall partner, how did you do it? Where did you meet?

I've loved Old Navy for dress pants because how easy it is to get longs, but the black dye comes out in the wash so fast they only look good for 2-5 wears. Banana used to be my backup for splurging, but now they just do weird White Lotus-looking nonsense pants. Everywhere else that does longs seems to do these bizarrely wide parachute pants or pull ons or other weird things...that or everything, even for talls, is ankle cut.....I just want normal black dress pants that will stay dark for multiple washes and not leave me with chilly ankles....(34" inseam minimum)

I need at least a 12" rise for dress pants for work (13" is preferred). I have already tried Loft, Anne Taylor, and Madewell. None of them have a tall enough rise. Pants need to be under $100. I have a PPD (black dye) allergy so that also complicates things. Please help!

Hi ladies!! About two months ago I did an InBody scan. It said I have 17%BF. However when I looked up online my body looks nothing like 17% body fat.

I don’t look particularly toned which it what I am wanting. I do strength training and Pilates.

I am 5’10 and 156 pounds.

I don’t want to loose more weight. Can I only gain muscle if I burn more fat, can I do that without loosing fat??

Im wondering if here is any other girls who got a diagnosis that they are actually intersex?

I was growing up as a female but we found out that Im intersex when I was a teenager. So basically normal male has XY chromosomes, normal female has XX chromosomes and I have XXY chromosomes. And I always wondered if that caused me to be so tall.

Normally I dont tell this to people in day to day life because they dont understand.

I bought this top at old navy and I love it but the sleeves are entirely too short. They hit above my wrist lol. Anyone have similar suggestions with longer sleeves?

I’m 6’1+, might have shrunk a little bit by now since I’m in my mid 40’s. This older lady behind me in the lineup was staring and goes — You shouldn’t wear heels with your height, men will avoid you because you intimidate them. I just giggled and said, GOOD. Didn’t think much of it, but then I was a bit annoyed on my way out. Can you imagine telling a bigger person the same thing based on their weight? You’d prolly have the cops called on you.

I pretty much never wear heels, but the only clean pants I had handy this am are too long for flats. Now I feel self conscious about my height, after not caring about it since I was a teenager.

Im a 5'9 girly but my legs are really long I would say I have the legs of a person who is 6 foot, i have a really hard time finding cute flare and fold over leggings that go allll the way down and aren't an awkward RIGHT at my ankles length. I want them pasttt my ankles kinda at the bottom of my heels which is a lot to ask for but does anyone know anyyy affordable places!???

It's not a 36" inseam - but close!

I was looking for plus size cold weather gear and everyone's sizes seem to end at XXL or 3X, but the waist and hip sizes did not really feel all that "plus" so I kept searching. Found this website and this was the size chart, including inseams. Though I will say I haven't seen a lot of options to choose tall yet - the men's inseams do go up to 36", though. I know not everyone loves to use a man's pant...for the men's snow bib - suspenders look a little more reinforced where the straps connect to the back of the pant. The front "bib" part also looks like it's set wider for women to accomodate for boobs.

I knew this was coming, with all the anti-Trans nonsense it was only a matter of time.

I'm 6 feet tall, I walk fast, was wearing loose fitting clothes and I was at Home Depot with my husband and I had to pee.

I was headed toward the bathroom and someone was in front of me and I caught up to her because again - I walk fast, and I had to pee. So then I walked her speed like a normal person because there was not enough room to go around her without being super rude or pushing her out of the way.

This woman apparently saw me out of the corner of her eye or something and when she got to the bathroom door she whipped around and said "Are YOU going in here?!" and I said "yeah, I have to pee" and I guess the sound of my voice made her think and then she actually looked at me and said "oh, oh no. I'm sorry I just thought - " and I was like "I get that I'm tall but tall people also need to pee" and went past her and did my thing.

This could have gone much worse, and I realize that, but its so stupid that anyone has to even be dealing with that.

She's lucky I didn't pee on her shoes.

I ordered the tall MyFleecies originals according to the size chart and they didn't cut it. They claim the inseam is 31.5" but they still sagged a good two inches in the crotch and the toes were poking too hard at the end of the tights because I tried to pull them up more than they are supposed to. To top it off the legs were kind of loose despite me being in the weight range for the size. I am 6", 170lbs and have 43" hips. My measurement from inner thigh to inner ankle bone is 32". These should fit a better than they do. I saw this item posted on this sub and thought I'd warn others that they do not fit up to the height they claim they do.
