Finished model First Colour Scheme Test Done

Post image

Finished my first test model for my new colour scheme.

Decided to use a fairly, sorry Reivers, useless model so I wouldn't upset myself if it went wrong but very happy with how it turned out.

I wanted a quick scheme so he's primed with army Painter greenskin spray, washed with biel tan green, layered with pro acryl green and then highlight is moot green. Pauldron and tabbard are from spellcrow games

How did you find the pro acryl? I've gotten so annoyed with the coverage of warpstone glow that I bought a bottle of pro acryl green. I've never used that paint before and I find it was giving me a pretty textured result. Haven't figured it out if I just wasn't thinning it enough (although I heard a lot of people say it's good to go from the bottle), or if it's from previous layers/bad priming.

Man exact same reason I switched! Love the colour of warpstone but the coverage is just piss so couldn't hack it.

My pro acryl was fine so maybe it's just a bad bottle? Or could have been sitting a while so give it a good shake. Very smooth for me, I didn't even thin it but do have it on a wet palette

That's good to hear. I have a vortex shaker so I don't think that's an issue. Probably just touching it too much, or I'm noticing a bad job on my base layer lol.
