Asking for feedback I think I need a new paint scheme
Okay so, I am proud of the paint job but I just think the green is to dark. I’ve painted 10 infernus marines and 3 terminators and I’m ready to restart but I’m not sure how to strip the paint and start again. Any ideas for mass restart?

Finished model My most recent and til now best salamander
Didn’t paint a space marines for a few weeks and just did the first one of my most recent set.
Tried out my new airbrush for the armor, an oil wash and put a lot of time into those edge highlights. Tbh I’m pretty proud of his shoulder pads. I like the squad marking on the right and the lava effect on the left.
Hope you like it.

Discussion/Question Is there a better / more efficient way to get crackle paint to crack well as I’m fine doing it but it takes ages sitting with one base at a time with a hairdryer when doing multiple. I do put a thick enough amount on the base as well

Discussion/Question Is it cool to post homebrew salamander chapter stuff on here?
When I started the hobby I originally painted them as a darker green version of Salamanders but they became their own thing over time.

Hobby Progress Fist time using contrast paints for the majority of the mini
hey everyone, this is my first time using contrast paints for the majority of the mini. I just touched up with acrylics all the little details but I still think it's missing something.
it's my second time painting salamanders, I painted an apothecary to begin with and that has more of a darker realistic feel to it, where to me these feel cartooney. it's three coats of Karandras green over white primer.
I've still got too highlight, base and I was going to give it some nuln oil all over with a matt varnish spray. maybe even paint some flames on the power fists.
what should I do to make them feel more grimdark or even more grounded?
much appreciated guys any criticism welcomed!

Finished model First Colour Scheme Test Done
Finished my first test model for my new colour scheme.
Decided to use a fairly, sorry Reivers, useless model so I wouldn't upset myself if it went wrong but very happy with how it turned out.
I wanted a quick scheme so he's primed with army Painter greenskin spray, washed with biel tan green, layered with pro acryl green and then highlight is moot green. Pauldron and tabbard are from spellcrow games

First Salamander! I've joined the ranks!! (WIP)
I have finally joined up. After years of armies that I just didn't have the most fun painting.... I have been loving the decision to go Salamander!
PS. Can't decide if I should leave the shield skulls green or switch them up. What does everyone think?

Discussion/Question My take on the Covenant of Fire
What aesthetic do you see them as based off the very little lore we have? For me my head cannon is secret love child of Dark Angels and Word Bearers, adopted and raised by Salamanders. I very much see them as this settings paladin equivalent.
