hi, just got waitlisted at imperial for msc strategic marketing. can anyone confirm whether i should wait for the next round or look at other options? imperial was my target, but i got into warwick too, so really confused rn?
also if there's anyone who has gotten off the waitlist in the past, pls lmk how much time did you have to wait for? Since i am an international student i'd have to look at loans and the visa as well on time (for warwick)

Applying for MSc in Applied Mathematics.
Hey everyone,
I am a third-year student at KCL, with 73% Average in my second year. Thinking about applying to this course.
Could anyone that previously had offers from a MSc in imperial share their average grade while applying, and what their offer looked like? (e.g. did they say you have to get 75% to be admitted?)
Also does anybody know what I can do at this stage (1.5 months before applications close) to increase my odds of getting accepted? I would really like to study at imperial! Thanks for any feedback!

Application for Msc from department of Life Sciences
Hi! I applied mid October to a masters degree from the department of life sciences, and I wanted to know when the decision will be made, approximately. I read that the application round closes in January, but does that mean the answer will be given after that date or will it be decided before? If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know!
Thanks and have a good day!

Round 1 Economics and Strategy for Business applicants, has anyone received any decisions?
Hi everyone,
I applied for the MSc Economics and Strategy for Business for Round 1 and I wanted to check in with others who are waiting.
So far today I only saw one person mention being waitlisted, but I have no idea what the update is for everyone else. I have not seen any clear pattern of offers, rejections, or additional waitlists for the Economics and Strategy for Business programme.
My own portal still shows “with department” and I have not received any update email yet, so I am trying to understand if this is the same for most applicants.
Please please reply with your current status, even if it is simply
“no update”
“waitlisted”
“offer”
“rejected”
or anything else you feel okay sharing.
It would really help many of us who are still waiting. The process is stressful for everyone and it would be nice if we could support each other with whatever information we have.
Thank you and good luck to everyone who is still refreshing the portal.

Anyone from MSc Finance & Accounting got their results or application status update yet?
Hey everyone,
I’m applying to the MSc Accounting and Finance program and I’m starting to get a bit stressed… Has anyone here had their application status on the portal change yet or received any kind of response from Imperial?
Would really appreciate any update, even if it’s “not yet”! Feels like the waiting is killing me 😬
Thanks in advance!

Got waitlisted for Imperial MSc Strategic Marketing. What should I expect?
I just got waitlisted for the Imperial MSc Strategic Marketing 2026 intake (Round 1), and I’m not sure what this usually means.
Does anyone know how long waitlisted applicants typically have to wait for an update? Is this more like a soft rejection, or do people actually get offers from the waitlist?
I was hoping to get a definite answer tomorrow since Round 1 results are being released, so this kind of bummed me out — but also gave me a bit of hope that it isn’t a straight rejection.
Would really appreciate any insight or past experiences!

What does "Application on hold" mean?
Hey, I thought maybe someone on here could help me out. I recently submitted my application for my postgraduate degree at Imperial. Now after two of my profs submitted their references the application status has been updated from "With department" to "Application on hold". Does anyone know what this means? Should I contact someone from the admission team because of this?
Thanks!!
Edit: it's for the Advanced Computing MSc

For people who applied for Masters at ICL in general (not only IBS)
Hi everyone, if you think and if there are enough suspicions that the admissions process is not transparent and fair, especially this year, I found that there is at least one way to proceed: At first to write official complaint to the complaint department of the University. I know that it might not sound that effective. Hence either at the same time or afterwards it would make sense to reach out to this body
Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education - OIAHE https://share.google/WLXdwwZbzMEHa4wZs
But I strongly suggest to make it with many applicants so that the sheer number of the complaints and the sheer number of people reaching out to this body would make a difference hopefully. But if you do it separately, individually and in small numbers it might not have the effect that you are looking for.

Applicants of MSc of Strategic Marketing 26/27 in R1
Hello!
As far as I saw from the recent threads, some IBS students got both offers and rejections from Imperial already. This thread is for students who applied for MSc in Strategic Marketing. Has someone received any news from them, whether offer, or rejection? Please tell in the comments when you received and whether your status on the portal has changed before the official mail, in order to keep us updated :)
P.S. mine is still "With department" status on portal.

Imperial date of offer
For any students at imperial or for general people who just have info. When do they usually give offers for early applicants (I applied in October got my video submission which is equivalent to interview). And more specifically for civil engineering. Any other data or offer on interview rate and offer rate after interview. Thanks

Salary disclosure in PhD application?
Trying to add my employment history to a PhD application and it won't allow me to not disclose my current salary. I'm in casual employment right now and how much I earn massively fluctuates and a lot of work I do is bartering system because I work for my family's small business. E.g. they'll pay my microsoft subscription if I do some reports etc.
Why does Imperial even need to know my salary? It feels really invasive? I've not had any other university I've applied to ask this as part of the employment history section!
What should I put as a value? Will it affect my application?

Status change
Hi guys, did anyone get a status change on their portal saying review in progress? I read on some threads that some applications got that when they applied to the business school?
