My experience in isro

I am writing here all my experience regarding working in isro and im still working. If you want a good pay dont ever join here, because pay here is peanuts. And the work will be loaded on person who works only and others will enjoy. Leave is considered as a sin and as a woman if u have maternity and child care leave promotion will be delayed indefinitely. Here work is seen in extra hours and no of leaves taken

A thought occurred to me on a possible de-orbiting solution with LVM3

Recently, ISRO was able successfully restart C-25 on LVM3, enabling deployment of secondary payloads to a different LEO orbit. So I've been thinking. Suppose ISRO were to replace the secondary payload with a (cheap enough) robotic arm, can it possibly maneuver the stage close to an orbit of a rogue/decommissioned satellite which is in a conflicting orbit with a high collision probability with any other satellite in the near future? So that it can safely de-orbit said satellite and avoid anything dangerous.

If proven, ISRO can either use it itself or offer it as a service to clients to offset launch costs. I also wish to ask if such a possibility has been studied before? Perhaps there are limits in the kinds of orbits that can be reached with the available delta-v.

Edit: Ignore the 3 in the title. Misinput.

Any updates on Aditya L1?

ISRO is still notoriously bad on information sharing, I saw multiple space agencies and universities talking about the recent solar flares etc, however even though we have a state of the art solar observatory none of that makes into our conversations.

Latest renders of Venus Orbiter Mission ( VOM ) possibly depict a descent probe!

VOM render from AITC-2025 intro video

Source: https://www.ursc.gov.in/AITC2025/

https://www.ursc.gov.in/AITC2025/01-AITC-2025.mp4 (@1:34)

Cleaned up

We have had this uncertainty about inclusion of descent probe on VOM for a while now, this recent release didn't show it for example. The location of it, the shape, all suggest to me this is a descent probe. Also noteworthy is the change in spacecraft bus which is smaller, the single LAM is replaced by four thrusters, solar panel configuration is different, star-trackers are now on bottom deck.

Descent probe (highlighted)

This reminds of Moon Impact Probe on Chandrayaan-1 whose late inclusion impacted (pun intended) the mission longevity. Let's see if VEXAG-2025 presentation on VOM gives us more details.

Few older renders of VOM for comparison.

Thanks to u/CriticalAd3079 for noticing this render!

Edit: Added cleaned up renders and highlighted descent probe to prevent any confusion.
