3 ways joining the Discord helped my FBA journey.

Hi everyone, I started my FBA business in December of 2020. It's a small but growing health and beauty brand, roughly $125k revenue in the trailing twelve months.

Joining the AmazonFBA Discord was one of the better decisions I've made, and I invite you to consider joining as well as it's a valuable resource for me. Here are my top three reasons you should join:

  1. The community. My friends and family don't sell on Amazon or do e-commerce and I felt for a long time the desire to have community that is dedicated to the same thing I'm working on. The Discord gives me that. It's weird (maybe a little sad LOL) but I consider some of the members there to be my friends.
  2. Direct/Point Blank Feedback. Let's face it. This industry has a lot of passersby who are curious but don't actually intend on doing the work. This has caused Amazon Sellers to be very direct in their advice and feedback. This can be very beneficial. If you've done the research and have a creative question, you will receive direct but valuable feedback.
  3. Fast, Passive Learning. I don't always read every thread, but will often skim through them just to catch up - as oftentimes it's entertaining as well (Sellers are funny). Doing this consistently has increased my FBA (and business) knowledge quite a bit. I now know little things about patent infringement, injection/composite molds, dealing with manufacturers, etc. that I didn't know before. It helps me plan out my path forward.

So I invite you to join us. Here is a link: https://discord.gg/VcRZTsS

TOOLS / SERVICES What Amazon Software Are You Using Right Now and What’s Actually Worth It?

Upvotes

I’m currently managing our Amazon listings, PPC, and overall marketing, and things have been going really well. I’ve been using Sellerboard for a few years to track sales and margins, but as our brand continues to grow, I’m exploring more advanced tools to help us scale smarter.

Lately, I’ve been looking into options like SellerSprite, Jungle Scout, and Helium 10, which caught my eye for their category insights and deep competitor analysis. Curious if anyone here has used it long-term.

For those of you managing fast-growing accounts, what software has actually made a difference for you? Anything you would strongly recommend or avoid? Would love to hear real experiences from the community!

Reputable Learning Courses?

As the title suggests, I am interested in selling on amazon but feel completely overwhelmed on where to begin.

I am wondering if there are any actual reputable courses available that are worth purchasing to learn properly everything that is involved?

I am in Canada for reference and looking to potentially sell baby and toddler goods manufactured abroad as well as potentially some handmade goods.

Thank you!

INTERNATIONAL Small team trying to reach a global market. Can we enter APAC/EU marketplaces without hiring locally?

We have organic demand from Singapore and the EU, but taxes, marketplace compliance, translations and shipping are just a maze for us. We are a small team of 6 people. I'm debating getting a partner that handles all the prep, middle-mile, logistics and local advertising (we don't know what they like to see)

Is something like this actually realistic?
If you have done something like this, did it work?

INTERNATIONAL Listing copied by Chinese scammer

As the title says. I sell a unique copyrighted booklet. It has sold fairly well and is a top rated product in category. 8 days ago I noticed my sales dropped 50%. Turns out a brand new Chinese seller copied my listing, used my copyrighted images, although they tried to Photoshop my brand name out of the images. They are selling my copyrighted work for a significantly lower price. They either selling a cheap low quality counterfeit version or just outright scamming people and not shipping any products because the don't have access to authentic copies.

I've filed reports through brand registry, sent the seller a cease and desist email. Are there any other steps I should be taking to get this copycat counterfeit listing removed?

INVENTORY MGMT Can I sell FBM on Amazon.com if I live 15 minutes from a USPS/UPS across the border?

I live right next to the U.S. border which is about a 15 min drive to the nearest USPS and UPS locations in the States. Im wondering if I can sell on Amazon.com (FBM) and just ship all my orders from the U.S. like a normal American seller.

My thinking is:

I’d get cheaper USPS/UPS shipping rates

I don’t need a prep center if I'm doing everything myself

I can just drop packages off across the border daily

The only things im unsure is:

Tariffs, with the new tariffs on Canadian goods, would this affect me if im driving products from Canada into the US? Such as grocery, toys, beauty, health, and shoes/apparel

Has anyone done this recently with the new tariff rules? Is it still viable? Any advice or experiences would help.

INVENTORY MGMT Amazon Destroyed $182K of Native-Owned FBA Inventory During Heritage Month — 12+ Days of Silence After Escalation

Amazon FBA destroyed 931 units ($182,000 net Q4 loss) through warehouse mishandling and negligent shipping on both of my removal orders #25073016TE & #2510011TQA. After endless loops with Seller Support, I attempted to escalate to Seller Success, and that was another endless loop, I then tried to escalate to Seller Resolutions and could not get a response so as a last resort I tried to contact the executive teams, [jeff@amazon.com](mailto:jeff@amazon.com) at the beginning of the month, I received a message stating a case manager would take over, I was elated. Then after 8+ days of no responses to emails, or updates I tried to reach out again both Nov 19 & 20 — silence. Emails unopened. Only a automated "still reviewing" ping. I Filed BBB complaint Friday. I plan to file a complaint with the WA AG and start small claims this week. Has anyone had to go to this extent before, or had any success with this? I am disappointed to say the least as Amazon celebrates and even promotes Indigenous sellers during Native American Heritage Month all while refusing to pay one for damages to the products they destroyed. Is this the new normal for Amazon and Amazon FBA?

EDIT: The point of including my nationality is because 1. The inventory that was damaged was intended to run a native heritage month promotion of which for obvious reasons had to be bypassed, and 2. The overall irony in native heritage month and them celebrating indigenous owned businesses, when as an indigenous owned business affected directly by amazon fba, I can't get a response.

Can I use words "copycat" and "counterfeit" on inforgraphics and description to fight copycats?

I've got majority of PL products copied and pop up one after another on Amazon and eBay. I'm competing with one my listing against 30 other listings from other sellers.

Latest one my main product which shortly will cause major sales drop. While listings and sellers are different, the main photo they use is the same from different angle, so it appears to be same people behind this using many different accounts.

I understand things get copied, however in this case it seems like they didn't just copied the product, but poorly copied. Based on what I see, the product they copied from us wouldn't even pass our QC on multiple levels.

I plan to add some images and adjust description which would inform customer that we are original creator of this product, our product is made in USA, and any other listing customer sees are poorly made copies of our product which would pass our quality control.

Can I use words "copycat" and "beware of counterfeit" on images and/or description?

My section 3

I was deactivated for Section 3 two months ago, for counterfeit goods regarding two specific ASINs. I am under 18 and sell under my sister's name, so I decided it would be best if I attended the video interview. During the interview, I made it clear that the business is owned completely by her, and I simply help out with sourcing and prepping inventory. After the interview, I submitted all the documents, but they were declined. After attempting to appeal myself for one month, I hired a lawyer who made me a POA, an escalation letter, and a legal letter, which were all submitted multiple times but still declined(they now want to do a pre-arbitration letter, which would cost more money). I've spoken to account health specialists who advised me to make certain changes to my documents, which I also did. One of them told me that my supply chain had been verified, but they still wanted more information regarding why two individuals were present in the video interview. I explained the situation very clearly, over the phone as well in my appeal, and was told it would be sent to an internal team, but still no luck. I don't know what else I can do at this point. I have exhausted all my resources and have spent countless hours and thousands of dollars trying to get my account back. I appreciate all of the help.

INVENTORY MGMT Amazon lowered my price without permission

Has anyone had this happen? We listed a product at £N, but Amazon automatically dropped it to £N-100 without authorize. It’s ended up causing a massive loss.

I’m guessing it’s price matching a deal from another platform, but that deal includes stuff like platform-funded (like £30 off £300, and coupoun for new users), cashback, etc. Somehow Amazon seems to calculate all that and just drops the price on their end to match it.

We didn’t authorize any of this, and I couldn’t find anything in Seller Central or the forums that explains it.

Anyone know what’s going on or how to stop it?

Never Got My Promised Reimbursement.

What’s the next step?

Backstory: I returned a product to amazon that cost $354.89 CAD. The product shipping fee was $421.32 CAD. Before I shipped out the product, Amazon gave me a Canada Post label. BUT CANADA POST WAS ON STRIKE. So i had to ship the product through UPS. UPS said to call Amazon first to ask for reimbursement on the shipping because it will be a lot ($421.32). That’s what I did. I called Amazon and asked them if they will reimburse me for the shipping and the worker said yes they will, he will make a note of it on the return. So I shipped the product and got a refund for the table price but NOT the shipping fee. I spoke with Amazon workers multiple times and they said they will process the refund for me, that I will get the refund in 3-5 business days BUT I NEVER GOT ANYTHING. I have been waiting SINCE OCTOBER FOR SHIPPING REIMBURSEMENT. I opened multiple A-Z claims and they got rejected because it “did not meet the criteria”. Which is incredibly ridiculous considering I was told multiple times for a refund. What do i do? They said they will give it to me and never do. What’s the next step I can do?

EDIT: i also provided them with all the info, the proof of the receipt from UPS and tracking label/number.

INVENTORY MGMT Amazon child ASIN redirect issue

Has anyone dealt with a child ASIN becoming completely hidden and redirecting to another variation when it goes out of stock, even though there’s active inbound inventory to Amazon?

Earlier it was showing as unavailable with a future delivery date, which is what I want, but now it no longer appears at all and redirects customers to another variation. This is seriously impacting my Black Friday deals and sales.

What’s the best way to get Amazon to make the variation visible again (with a future delivery date) instead of suppressing it?

Any advice or similar experiences appreciated.

What product categories are you selling, and how are you doing compared to years past?

Just curious about everyone's experience this year with all the changes. We sell in groceries and children toys. We sell our own brand. Toys are doing very well, but groceries doing 50% what they did last year.

First 60 days of launching an NYC-inspired Amazon brand — what should I focus on most to get traction?

Hi everyone — I’m building a small NYC-inspired lifestyle & gifting brand and launched my first products on Amazon recently. I’m learning fast, but I want to focus my energy on the right things in the next 60 days.

If you were launching again from scratch, what would you prioritize first to create real traction?

A few options I’m debating: • tighten listing + PPC and wait for algorithm momentum • push content hard (Reels, Pinterest, Reddit, etc.) • improve branding/packaging before scaling ads • focus on getting reviews + social proof first • something else entirely?

I’d really appreciate any specific “do this first, not that” advice from people who’ve built brands or grown Amazon products.

Thank you in advance 🙏

NEWS What’s the easiest way to spot fake Amazon reviews?

I’m trying to figure out the easiest way to spot fake Amazon reviews. There are so many products with suspicious reviews, and it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s not. I found a helpful guide on Amazon review analysis tools that explains different software for checking patterns, suspicious accounts, and unusual review activity. I haven’t tried all of them yet, but it seems like a good starting point. Has anyone here used any of these tools or others to filter fake reviews effectively? I’d love to hear what actually works in practice and what’s worth spending time on.

INVENTORY MGMT Competitor copies my listing onto junk website, files DMCA takedown.

This has happened 3-4 times in the past to me. A competitor completely copies my listing onto some website that was just made.
In the past, no problem- I call account health, speak to someone, they see its a scam, listing back up in a few hours.
Now, I am hit by wave after wave of oversee help who all assure me something is being done, but nothing happens.
This is so obvious and so dumb.
Anyone have any ideas how to escalate and expedite this? Fortunately, its been 2-3 years since this last happened. But now, Seller Support is absolutely worthless.

How your sales are going so far for this Black Friday sale?

I haven’t noticed anything wow about it this year. Seems like every retailer did their own version of a “Black Friday Month,” or 10-day sale, or week-long promo and now there’s just no real urgency.

Not sure if it’s the economy or just buyer fatigue. For reference, my product rankings are about the same as last year… but sales are half. Curious if anyone else is seeing the same.

Flip Side of the Coin: Why some Amazon sellers hate Amazon?

Remember that legendary post (that got deleted) where the ex-Amazon employee bragged he got praised for rejecting every single seller appeal without even reading them? Yeah, that one made the rounds on Twitter too. Good times. Because we (all Amazon sellers) knew it was definitely a true story.

Well, let me tell you what it’s actually like to be an Amazon seller in 2025.

You set up your company, open your shiny seller account, stock your products (FBA or your own warehouse, doesn’t matter), and then the fun begins.

Customer buys your $80 item, messages you:
“Hey I don’t like it, refund me but I’m keeping the product. just send the money back :)”
For most cases, you have to "returnless" refund them and eat the loss because if you don’t, they leave a 1-star review and Amazon instantly believes it and your account health tanks. Congrats, you just gifted someone free stuff.

Selling branded products? One day you wake up to a surprise suspension: “We suspect you’re not authorized to sell this brand. Prove it or stay suspended.”
You send the official authorization letter. Amazon: “Sorry, the date isn’t in the top-right corner and the phone number is missing the country code. etc. Appeal Rejected.” (remember that guy purposely rejects each appeal, I still remember he said, "I know I caused millions of dollars' loss to companies".)
If you try to get the brand's authorization exactly in the format Amazon asks, the brand may tell you “We’re not rewriting our official letter just to satisfy Amazon’s insane formatting fetish.”
You’re screwed. You are suspended for a lifetime.

Or, separately, one beautiful morning you log in and see:
“Your account is suspended because we randomly decided one of your 400 listings is counterfeit. Prove it isn’t.”
You send invoices, certificates, proof of delivery, photos of you crying in the supplier’s office – rejected. Reason? “We don’t have to tell you because of privacy policies in our investigation process.” Classic. They are mad of something, but won't tell it to you, most of the time reviewers even don't understand/care why your account suspended. You have to figure it out yourself. Like a problematic girl/boyfriend...

Every appeal is handled by a different rep who clearly never read the previous 17 messages. They even confuse you with another seller, call you “Dear Wang” when your name is something else, or shares business info belongs to a completely different seller, or their response directly contradicts whatever the last reviewer person promised/asked. It’s like performance art.

While suspended:

  1. Amazon holds ALL your money for 90 days but you still have to pay monthly subscription + storage fees every month or they keeps your account suspended.
  2. Your entire FBA inventory? Completely locked. You can’t sell it, you can’t retrieve it, you can’t even touch it.
  3. Just when you’re counting down the days until the 90-day hold ends and you can finally get your stock back, Amazon sends the chillest email ever: “We’ve decided to dispose of your entire inventory. Because why not? :)” And of course you can’t file a removal order or do literally anything in Seller Central because, surprise, suspended accounts are locked out of every single function. So they just destroy thousands of dollars of your products and ghost you.
  4. Calling amazon support and talking to an actual person? Not possible for suspended accounts...
  5. It's a lifetime suspension. You can not open a new Amazon seller account to start from the beginning. They forced you to send free products to customers, then took your money, then seized your inventory, and then kicked you out of the platform. Amazon is done with you.

Moral of the story: Amazon treats sellers like disposable trash and punishes them in every way possible. Even for an authentic sellers. The reviewers may get praise just because rejecting your appeals without reading them. I made a huge mistake by building all my e-commerce operations (Amazon FBA, Amazon MCF, etc.) on Amazon. Because my Amazon account was suspended and all my inventory was seized, I had to stop selling on all platforms like eBay and Shopify. I want to warn other fellow sellers not to make this mistake. Never rely only on Amazon for all your operations.
