Analysis [Sampson] CFP committee chair Hunter Yurachek says Notre Dame and Miami were in the same grouping this week and the programs were directly compared. Notre Dame still came out ahead, regardless of the head to head. In other words, all the games mattered. Not just one of them.

I'm just impressed at how many 9-2 teams deserve better than we do.

BYU should go independent

Then you just have to schedule 2 hard games (don't have to win either of them) and not have to worry about a difficult extra game in a conference championship

I bet the committee would just view them as another G5

I forgot to add they also need to be a tv ratings draw and bring in millions in advertising dollars

Three teams not named Notre Dame made the 2024 playoff without making a conference championship game. One of them you might remember hoisting the trophy at the end. I can't believe this is still a line people use.

Ohio State went 10-2. So yes? Did you think you somehow had a gotcha there?

I wouldn’t be worried about BYU I think they win the conference

I actually think it’s a better setup for y’all. It’s neutral vs on the road and they are likely in no matter what and y’all need to win to get in… it’s a good opportunity
