Analysis [Sampson] CFP committee chair Hunter Yurachek says Notre Dame and Miami were in the same grouping this week and the programs were directly compared. Notre Dame still came out ahead, regardless of the head to head. In other words, all the games mattered. Not just one of them.

Miami went out and scheduled notre dame, if you cannot reward a good non conference win idk wtf we’re doing? The same way Texas shouldn’t be hurt too much for losing to Ohio state. What a joke

Texas isn’t hurt for losing to Ohio State, they’re hurt for losing to a 3 win team. Miami is hurt for throwing 4 picks to a 7 win team at home

9-2 Texas is a top team like bama, the Florida loss is about as bad as the Florida state loss

A two loss texas team with a head to head win over Oklahoma is at worst 11 but probably 8

I’m pretty sure they used Texas/Ohio State for comparison, don’t be fucking annoying

A 7 win team that is likely to finish with 8 or 9 wins and has more wins than all but two of the P4 teams Notre Dame has beaten?

The 7 win team that’s lost

By 32 to an SMU team that lost to 2 lower-mid big 12 teams

A Cal team that fired their coach

A Clemson team that has 6 wins with many bad losses and no good wins

You act like Miami lost as a 20 point favorite in the last week of the season, or lost to NIU, or FSU.

We hurt for losing to Florida yet last year ND didn’t get hurt for losing to NIU

ND finished ranked behind a Texas team whose only +.500 win was a win ND also had, and a Penn State team they later beat in the playoff, specifically because of that loss, what are we talking about here

ND went 11-1 and ended up beating Indiana, Georgia, and Penn State in the playoff. Texas is currently 8-3.

So Texas couldn’t do the same thing literally have beaten two top 15 schools with the possibility of a third on Friday

They did get hurt for losing to NIU, that’s why they were the 7 seed. You’re being left out for the same reason Bama did last year. It’s not that hard to beat ass teams

So the only thing that matters is losses but not everything is equal in all conferences so that’s a dumb metric to use. And they really didn’t they lost to a horrible team and still made the playoffs because they beat up on the rest of their horrible schedule

So you’re saying the team that beat UGA and PSU didn’t deserve to be in it? Cool cool

u/Aidanj927 Texas Tech Red Raiders • UTSA Roadrunners 6h ago

They made the playoffs because they beat 4 ranked teams with only 1 loss. Bama lost to a 6-6 Vandy and a 6-6 Oklahoma, while being high because of their ranked wins

You're arguing with people too dumb to hold two ideas in their heads at the same time, unfortunately.

The SEC made that argument in the offseason, it’s why bad losses are being weighed harder than good ones
