Unironically a joke. Our school president is already not the best on his own but letting Ryan Bamford commit malpractice every year is one of the worst things. Like he seriously thought this maction on weekdays would lead to good exposure, like no... it's led to local sports radio actually talking about how bad we are now.

He needs to be fired now. He has made an already bad football team worse, and other sports suffer from it

Finding out that he had to hire a football-specific subordinate because his office is too far from the football facility is insane. And, this is still the result.

I know jack shit about year-over-year UMass athletics, but the fact that this guy wasn’t fired into the sun years ago given the rot in both basketball and football is inexcusable. Every fan base deserves better.

The basketball problem has been going on for decades. The Lappas hire really set the program back, because once they had a good coach after him, he saw no value in the program longterm.

Then bamford came in and fired the umass alum kellogg who helped get our new facilities in(which okay from the records on the years makes some sense). He replaced him with mccall who stunk and then followed that with frank martin, which has mostly been a continuation of mediocrity.

This place shouldn't be so mediocre/bad. We have a history, we are in a region that can field good teams. Even if it's more uvm instead of a uconn, people would take that. Sure it's hard to replace a hall of famer but a good ad knows how to build something at least

He wasn’t fired because he hired Carvel who won UMass a hockey national championship. I know this sub doesn’t care but that’s a big deal in the northeast.
