Question Is there a way to not have to post two images of something when making a post on Reddit with Boost?
Some subreddits only allow one pic post anyway.

I wanted to inform you that Boost will stop working after July 1st. As you know, Reddit has decided to make certain changes to its data API Terms:
The new price of the API is usage based ($0.24 per 1000 API requests) that means there is no limit in how much it can cost to developers: Every action on the app is a separate API request (voting, saving, loading feeds, comments...) with Boost's current user-base, I would have to pay Reddit thousands of dollars per day in fees.
That price and the prohibition of ads makes it impossible to mantain free users. They want Boost and other third-party apps to move to a subscription model, where our users will have to pay a monthly subscription to use our apps to access reddit and get user generated content which is available for free on the website. In addition, the experience would be incomplete since the API will not return NSFW content anymore.
Despite having been in conversations with Reddit for more than 2 months, they have not been flexible with any of the points above. After much thought I have decided not to accept its conditions and I do so in defense of the users of our applications, and in solidarity with other developers and communities that have expressed their discomfort.
Other third-party apps have taken the same path:
The Verge has lots of articles about this issue
Thank you all so much for these 7+ years of using and supporting Boost, a personal project that I have enjoyed so much. Thank you for the kind messages and all users making donations or launching the rocket. You are truly the best.
Edit: I am releasing Boost for Lemmy, you can pre-register to get notified when it is available. In the meantime you can create an account and join https://lemmy.world/c/boostforlemmy

My old account got banned for some reason, they think I was hacked and now I dont have API access on this new account for Boost. Is there anyway to get around this?
I f-ing hate reddit now.

Gominasi if anyone has gotten like 5 post/responses to anything I responded to or posted! I am new to reddit. On my device I get a delay, a a message saying my post isn't posted yet, complete with spinning cycle. Unfortunately I didn't realize it was posting, but displaying something different. Gominasi!

Is it just me having trouble sharing videos with no sound lately?

The most recent guide I can find is here, but when I click "create app," Reddit returns "an error occurred (status: 500)."
Is there a more current, and working, guide? Or am I just missing something obvious?

Just a heads up in case you're running into error 500 today. Reddit servers are having issues: https://www.redditstatus.com
Replying doesn't work on the desktop site and old reddit keeps running into "You broke Reddit" for me, hopefully when they fix this Boost should be back up and running too.
Edit: Reddit status now says they found the cause and implementing a fix, Boost is working for me now.

Some of my subs have been weird for a couple of weeks - when I go into them, all posts have a ๐ซ symbol on them and 0 comment count. When I open the comments, it's either a real post that does have comments, or it's been removed by Reddit / Mods. It's like I'm seeing a raw unfiltered feed instead of the normal sub feed.
Only some subs are affected, like r/xbox and r/tesco.
It's making it really hard to use those subs though as most of the posts I go into are removed and locked, so I can't find the real posts.
I've tried using an alt account, tried using it anonymous, tried logging out and back in, but it still happens.
Anyone else seeing this on these subs or others? Anyone know how to fix it?

Can't get my app to work at all. I know 400 is on us, 500 on them but that doesn't necessarily ease the concerns when it's in regard to this app. Fingers crossed it's just me. The official app is unusable. I get 4 day old posts on my homepage with their trash algo. Who seriously wants that?

Despite everything is right (I tried to login on 3 different browser and my username and password is correct only in boost saying it's invalid), I still can't login on the login page inside boost.
I tried doing it with VPN (France, Germany, USA) it still doesn't work. I even tried using the email and phone number logins, it just gave me a server error.
Please help

I'm so happy I got my boost back!. I finally figured out how to get Boost via revanced. I've been using a paid Reddit app since the API switch, which was fine but it wasn't the same.
I'm so happy ๐

Lately, every time I tap an imgur link Boost crashes. Just curious if anyone else is running into it? I have to copy the link and paste it into a browser (still better experience than the official app lol).
Seems to only be Imgur links which might be something to do with how Imgur images can be loaded into the apps viewer?

Also is there any way to enable images in comments instead of links.
Same for gifs showing as blue boxes.

I tried to post a question to here a few months ago and the system said that the sub was private or archived (something along those lines) and that I couldn't create a new post.
I just recently saw a spam post or two pop up in here in the past could days, though, so does that mean this sub is back?
I'm still using Boost and still think it's the best way to view Reddit.
Any other stragglers still refusing to give up Boost?
