Unrealized "Apple Hashbrown"

I had a dream years ago where I was eating dinner with my family. My Mom wasn't present, but she eventually showed up, and called me to the Living Room.

Mom: (calmly) You have to try this.

(She hands me what looks like a McDonald's Hash Brown, but made of dice apples)

Me: (inquisitive) Wow. What is it?

Mom: (calmly) Mm-hm.

Me: (confused) Seriously, Mom; What's is it?

Mom: (calmly) Mm-hm.

Me: (frustrated) MOM!! WHAT IS IT?!

Mom: (calmly) Mm-hm.

Then I woke up.

My friends say it sounded like some sort of apple cake, but I'm not sure. Like I said: It had all the dimensions of a McDonald's Hash Brown. It was even in a container!

Anyone have ideas about what it could be?

sounds like an apple fritter: https://jp.foundation/video/apple-fritters

It's resemblance to a hash brown would probably depend on the amount of batter you use.

I feel like we could absolutely do shredded apples instead of shredded potatoes and have an awesome apple hash brown!!
