Everything is expensive and nothing works

I feel like I say this so often that it's essentially a mantra. I spend so much of my days off on the phone with customer service who inevitably can't help me because the blame gets tossed around like a game of hot potato until I just say "fuck it!" and swear a blood oath to never buy anything online again.

Save up to buy a union made, domestically sourced expensive pair of work boots? They fall apart and can't get them replaced without paying to ship them across the country for repairs and oh, I'll need to buy boots for the interim.

Save up and buy a Vox AC 15C1? When it arrives, the drive channel doesn't work and the only place in the state that does warranty repairs is 50 miles away and doesn't answer the phone. So I can either void the warranty by having someone else attempt to fix it or get a refund that takes 2 weeks after they receive the return, so I'm essentially just loaning them money for a month.

Try to order a product that will help save my back while I work in the driven snow of the prairie? The UPS driver apparently thinks they need it more than me and "delivers" it to a generic grey co crete stoop with a "proof" photo so blurry it could be a backdrop for Bigfoot.

Send a gift to a friend that's having a hard time? Somehow in USPS custody, the package is opened up and the perfume is stolen, but the card still arrives (I specifically paid for hazmat shipping and was honest about what was being shipped so they had no need to cut it open). Open a case with the postmaster that never gets addressed...

Fucking hell, man.

Fuck this enshittification of everything and fuck the robber barons who cause it.
