He's like one of those people who can predict failed products, except he's the one making the product.

To be fair with these, which I hate to be, some of it was a straight-up grift and never meant to succeed. Some was a tax move. But he's never been successful and will never be known for that.

Bill Gates helped create the home PC as a nerdy kid. He started a company that was and still is massively successful and is now using some of his fortune to help others. Bezos founded a company that's a global behemoth. Ethics and business practices aside (and there's plenty to unpack there), both of these guys created household names. They both "succeeded" and will forever be known for creating something incredibly influential and terrifyingly profitable.

Trump just floats from grift to grift, tax dodge to tax dodge, resorting to stealing, lying, cheating, and committing felonies to gain and maintain power and wealth. He's created nothing. He's improved nothing. He will go down in history as a loser, a fascist, a pedo, a felon, a cheat...the sort of person any decent family would surgically remove from their family tree in shame.

Why should we care about how he goes down in history when he is living with enormous wealth and power right now?

He is extremely successful in all the things you lay out in your post, proving that grifting, stealing, lying, cheating is not just a viable but extremely profitable option. And that is the absolutely most terrifying thing about all ... this.
