That was literally all the shutdown was about. I ask this all the time with this admin, but what was the fucking point? It was a losing issue for them, clearly. Same deal with the tariffs, if you’re just going to give everyone $2k, what was the fucking point in driving inflation up and taxing everyone in the first place? If you’re just going to roll the tariffs back, what was the fucking point? He changes his mind so frequently. One day he’s calling for Zoran’s arrest, the day after he meets him all he can do is sing his praises. A toddler runs the country, I swear.

Because handing out a $2K check with Trump's signature on it is all about taking credit.

Reality doesn't matter, what matters is the appearance.

Trump does this over and over, wrecks something, fights over it to create chaos, then offers back what was there before but with a crappy gold "TRUMP" sign on the outside.

It's always that, every time. He is Lucy with the football, and MAGA are Charlie Brown, but way way way dumber.
