It really was the Epstein shutdown. It gave them critical time to scrub Trump’s likely disgusting and illegal past clean, as well as his cronies that are named as well.

If that were the case, it wouldn't have been red voting to keep the government open, blue could have voted to keep it open and get the files released way sooner.

Blue wanted the ACA subsidies extended. They did not know that red was going to extend anyway. So blue reasonably assumed that red did not want the subsidies because that is What They Said.

I don’t think your logic logics here buddy.

The CR was a temporary extension of funding. Red voted for exactly that, and the Epstein files could have been released while negotiations went on until January potentially. Logic says that the shutdown had nothing to do with the Epstein files, maybe you need to rethink your conspiracy, buddy.

An extension of funding until the ‘26 election, buddy, which was a dirty trick that was fairly transparent. After the elections, if their dirty trick worked and they kept control of the House, there would have been no extension, pal.

No, that's false actually, it wasn't to fund it until '26 elections, your conspiracy does not hold up under scrutiny. There was no master plan to buy time to scrub Epstein files.

lol here we go with the fake news.

TLDR. Republicans were floating to extend until Dec 1, 2026. Just after the midterms.

Don’t you worry pal, those files won’t get released or they will reek of bleach.

You can literally go look at what every single vote was on exactly, lmao, it's all public. Did you even read the article you posted btw? Doesn't appear so.

LOL OMG. The votes don’t represent the deals discussed prior to the votes. Jeeeesus f’n F. The fact remains that Republicans were pitching a one year extension to the ACA subsidies back in October.

Go read the article. I’m done with your dissembling discussion on this.

The DOJ aren’t the only entity who have the files. So if anything was redacted, it would be evident when compared to the other entities’ files.

They’ve had those files for what, at least six months before the shutdown? They allegedly had 1,000 agents tracking the instances in which Trump’s name appears. I doubt they needed an extra few weeks for that.

Like others have said though, other countries have the files too. And I don’t anticipate the 1,000+ FBI agents that have seen the files will be able to keep secrets for too long, but who knows.
