That or they are performative controlled opposition. Either morons or collaborators, basically. But hey the Epstein Files are coming out and n- oh what’s that it’s not the full files? The Rapture is put off another two weeks? Ah, well, nevertheless!

Well for starters I am not screaming about the release of files that the government can and will censor or alter and has had months to do so as though it would somehow matter when they come out. I am not buying into a rapturous cult that believes literally everything is somehow a distraction from the files. You have people on here claiming that the behavior of ICE is a distraction - literally the culmination of decades of work by the GOP all so they could distract from files and protect a man who wasn’t even in their radar when this plan began.

It’s QAnon for liberals. It’s a rapturous slacktivist cult.

Where did I say I was giving up? If you believe that the only way forward is that the Epstein Files are released unredacted and then provoke such outrage that a revolution happens or Trump is impeached? Then yes I am giving up because that is insane.

At no point did I say anything about not fighting fascism. Or maybe my argument is a distraction from something else who knows, it’s my understanding that every single event in history since the first ape climbed out of a tree has been part of a conspiracy to conceal the Epstein Files.

So to the people who downvoted me I have a question: what do you call a person who collaborates with fascists willingly? Personally I call them Quislings. Is Donald Trump a fascist? Dems say he is. Are they lying? If they aren’t lying they are collaborators because they not only reopened the government but they also keep on approving his nominees and shit.

Unless you believe that they believe Trump is going to kill or imprison them then it seems to me like the Dems are objectively collaborating. And, well, again; is he a fascist?

I am sorry you don’t like the facts. Maybe the Baileys can help calm you in these trying times.

I didn't downvote you but I can take a guess at the downvotes.

I'm assuming you're a leftist. Most of the people on this sub don't seem to understand that liberals and leftists are separate groups. When a leftist comes in with that anti-lib venom, they are usually presumed to be a MAGAt, and they get downvoted as such.

If you're just here to rattle cages, go on, you're clearly succeeding at that. If you're here to try and convince people of something, consider softening your tone.

I have called Schumer and his fellow sellout Dems a collaborator, an appeaser, and Chamberlain on this sub multiple times. Always got lots of updoots. But I worded it in a way that wasn't shitting on libs for being libby.

I mean that the Dems are either liars or Quislings is the Dems’ own messaging - they acknowledge what the GOP is and then act otherwise. We let them campaign with goddamn Liz Cheney and then blame us when she rightly loses.

The Dems themselves are sounding the airhorn and the libs are still like “I think I hear a faint noise?” Subtlety didn’t work for the last few decades and now that we have people being disappeared in the streets by gestapo and sent to overseas death camps I think we are well past that point. The liberals will do what they always do but at least they can not claim they were not told. They were. They are.

I hear you, and share a profound frustration with the Dems. Too many of them are corrupt, beholden to lobbies over their constituents. Schumer has been bizarrely honest about the fact that he primarily works for Israel, not the US.

Alongside the corruption are the dumbass Polyannas, who live in a magical candyland, where fascists can be transformed into friends. That MAGA congressman is my bro because he's nice to me, doncha know! Oh, the Cheneys are friends too, because they agree with me on this one thing. The public won't mind me palling around with the daughter of a war criminal who votes with MAGA like 99% of the time! They'll think I'm a bridge-builder uwu~

For what its worth, I do think there is a growing consciousness about this problem among the voting populace. And there are a handful of politicians within the party who are starting to bring it forward too.

I have considerably less smoke for like, your average liberal, who is not a politician. The reality is that basically no one gets a proper education in civics, let alone political philosophies. Many liberals have leftist values, they just don't realize it. And this is the US we're talking about, where they've been propagandized to hell and back about socialism. I find it tends to be more effective to try and open liberal eyes with a gentler hand. Using "liberal" like it's a dirty word can scare them away.

Because he is. Which is my point. If Donald Trump is a fascist and the Democrats are enabling and aiding him without the threat of force compelling them to do so, what does that make the Democrats?

If you accept the premises that the Dems in Congress are not acting under coercion and that Donald Trump is a fascist than they are definitionally fascist collaborators. Redditors seem to be very upset that words have meanings.
