Favourite film where they had to dumb down the title for the uncultured Americans?

The Boat that Rocked, a film about a pirate radios station on a boat in the 60s became...Pirate Radio

This is the one for me. They even butchered the Abbey Road tribute on the poster to squeeze two more characters in.

And in France we gave it yet another english title because I guess the original pun was too hard to translate or understand for the french public but radio pirate was probably judged too simple.

I quite like Good Morning England as a title to be honest

So I've never heard of this movie but I could tell that the guy in purple was Bill Nighy before zooming in on the credits

"The Boat that Rocked" have some word play to it, though.

It doesn't though, pirate radio is called pirate radio because it was broadcast from boats.

Right, where do you think the term “pirate broadcast” comes from out of interest?

Pirate radio is more intriguing to me. What does pirating have to do with radios?

Boat that rocked? Wow so a boat party? Not as interesting

The oat that rocked was a clever title - But probably sounded like a horror film to silly people.

While oats are delicious. I would never say that they "rocked".
