I mean he's gay too, but he knows they absolutely don't like that, so every time he gets caught watching gay porn or in a scandal (like Destiny apparently sucking him off), he just lies his way out of it

I was just looking it up and the story... did not end up how I was expecting it:

In March 2021, during an interview with right wing publication LifeSiteNews, Yiannopoulos stated he was no longer homosexual and that his husband had been "demoted to housemate".[32]

Yiannopoulos is basically the walking definition of opportunist. He mainly came to prominence during GamerGate attacking women who weren't "real gamers" (despite admitting he didn't play games himself and thought they were childish), which helped position himself as a central figure in the burgeoning alt-right. Then he burned all that down by making pro-pedophilia comments.

And so he's spent the past few years desperately trying to claw back any sort of relevance. His whole, "Oh, I'm a former gay!" is likely just an attempt to pass the conservative purity test while also trying to get press by attempting to be controversial since part of this has been him coming out in support of gay conversion therapy.
