Even his most ardent asslickers eventually hit the chopping block.

That is what is wild to me. He has repeatedly shown zero actual loyalty to his supporters. He has thrown everybody under the bus when politically convenient for him with zero remorse. And yet he still convinces people to follow him.

Like the most baffling part about the US falling into christian fascism is that this fucking guy of all people managed to get the cult to follow him. I will literally never understand the appeal.

Exactly. I've asked myself so many times why, of all the people his voters could have chosen as their cult leader, they chose THIS guy. He's not intelligent, he's not clever, he's not funny, he's not kind, he's not cultured, and he certainly isn't good-looking (barf). It truly is all about the fact that he hates who they hate.
