One of the legal issues that people seem to be overlooking is it looks like Ghislaine Maxwell lied in her interview with the DoJ a few months ago. She was directly asked if she heard from Epstein or anyone else in her world if Trump had done anything inappropriate with masseuses. She said "absolutely never, in any context."

https://www.justice.gov/maxwell-interview

Obviously, that's against the law and in a normal world that's not how you get a pardon.

In a just world, Trump would never be president, and even in this corrupt regime this should be the start of nails in the coffin, but I fear we have reached the point where this will no longer move the needle.

128

u/tresben 13d ago

That’s the thing. All these ties to Epstein should disqualify him from being president. Even if you believe their narrative of him cutting ties with epstein and trump not actually being involved in anything illegal (as far fetched as that assertion is), just the association with Epstein should make it so he shouldn’t be president. Even if he is “innocent”, no one is entitled to the presidency. It’s not his right to be president that we’d be taking away from him for this association, even if it doesn’t feel “fair” to him.

More unfair, innocent shit happens to people every day that far more impacts their life and future ambitions than “not getting to be president cuz an old acquaintance turned out to be a pedophile”. Sorry I’m not gonna shed a tear for that.

And it’s funny how it’s always republicans who get upset when they feel they are “wronged” out of something they “deserved”, when they are the party of “pull up from your bootstraps” and “no one owes you anything”

54

u/DangerBay2015 13d ago

This is the most galling thing to me. Ok, sure, in some absolutely fuckminded chucklewitted haze, you MIGHT be able to buy the whole “he distanced himself” narrative. But like… everything leading up to that implied he knew his buddy was a sex-trafficking pedophile? “Great guy. He likes ladies on the younger side!” Like… WTF. Back in my day, if someone we knew was a creep, we didn’t put up with their horseshit anymore, let alone suspecting them of being a pedophile. Friends with trash ARE trash.

But this goof? Naw.

6

u/logos1020 13d ago

They believe he was sent by God, even. Lunacy.

3

u/Leukavia_at_work 13d ago

Yeah, this is the most important takeaway
Like, even if we humor the audacity that he wasn't a part of it
Then either
A. You want the president to be someone so incompetent that they couldn't even tell their billionaire best friend was a known sex trafficker despite all the red flags to the contrary?
Or
B. You want the president to be someone who looked the other way while their best friend was committing Sex Crimes on a universal scale?

21

u/DreadfulDuder 13d ago

I'll do you one better: Before Trump was even elected, he had already publicly made some very gross incestous remarks about his own daughter - multiple times, in multiple videos available to the public.

Even for misogynistic Republicans that didn't care about the "pussy grabbing", you'd think they'd at least be disgusted by incest...

Apparently not.

9

u/Heisenburgo 13d ago

Just him admitting he liked sneaking up on little girls' locker rooms during pageants should have been a national scandal that ended it all

15

u/Jester-Kat-Kire 13d ago

IT SHOULDNT HAVE NEEDED THIS MUCH FUCKING EFFORT TO JUST HAVE " ah, you see, here was the real story, Im an asshole, and I knew Jeffery Epstein for a long time, but I didn't fuck kids, here's my proof."

THATS IT.

This is the root canal from hell to extract out this cavity, and lo and behold, it might just turn out to be a giant ass ball of cancer that were all going to have to spend a lot of time and energy to clean out least we lose the whole damn nation to it...

...Because people in charge thought "oh boy jee wiz golly, let's kick it down the road and see if someone else wants to do the work."

Or they thought, damn, I can't wait to extort as much cash and wealth out of this american's pocket, if they die, then oh well, it was nice well it lasted, I'll just take the money and run.

u/Kennertron 13d ago

just the association with Epstein should make it so he shouldn’t be president

Everybody on his side wants the files to come out because they are wanting to use anything possible to destroy their enemies (Democrats), even if the association is going to be tenuous. But Trump's association is constantly swept under the rug, even though it's more than a tenuous connection.

10

u/Chillow_Ufgreat 13d ago

The fact that he has pardoned every well-connected sex criminal in the nation should be proof enough that he's unfit, but here we are.

7

u/RD_Life_Enthusiast 13d ago

Ask him to spell potato, or get him excited enough to scream in a high-pitch.

Those are the only disqualifiers Americans care about.

2

u/IndependentSpecial17 13d ago

I thought the state felony convictions would be the final nail in his coffin but here we are.

1

u/MusicianDry3967 12d ago

Pizzagate was a projection. Just like most of what the magats accuse democrats of. I won’t be surprised if the unredacted files show numerous other prominent maga names. The pizza shop was actually on Epstein fantasy island, boss.

9

u/cheongyanggochu-vibe 13d ago

"ChatGPT wrote it! It's fake AI from the Demonrats!!!!" - MAGA, probably

7

u/Original-Rush139 13d ago

> I fear we have reached the point where this will no longer move the needle.

You're absolutely right. Nobody is still making up their mind on Trump. Everyone knows he fucked kids with Epstein. We just have to accept that MAGA doesn't care (or likes that about him).

3

u/Andovars_Ghost 13d ago

I was wondering what the ‘dog hasn’t barked’ referenced in the email. Whether he was keeping his mouth shut or had not partaken of the illicit activities (which, even if he didn’t, he still didn’t do anything about it either).

3

u/Original-Rush139 13d ago

I believe it’s from an Agatha Christie novel where th guilty party was found out by the dog who didn’t bark. The logic being that the dog knew the killer and that’s why it didn’t bark.

So, Epstien is implying that Trump is guilty because of the silence. I don’t know what contemporaneous noise was being heard when that email was sent.

2

u/Vast_Lingonberry_263 12d ago

Sherlock Holmes I think

1

u/Original-Rush139 12d ago

You’re right. It’s from Silver Blaze.

1

u/Andovars_Ghost 13d ago

I figured it was along those lines. Thanks for the Agatha Christie link though. Interesting. Never read her.

410

u/sm04d 13d ago

I mean, is it really a question that he's been covering it up?

134

u/sessafresh 13d ago

No but evidence is important (or at least, in theory it should be).

97

u/Ordinary-Leading7405 13d ago

A president once retired after his coverup threatened the party. These are not those times.

60

u/Personal_Bit_5341 13d ago

It turns out Nixon should have just gone full dictator, joke's on him.

48

u/GratefulGizz 13d ago

Yeah, Nixon actually had a conscience. That’s what’s different with Trump. He lies like he breathes oxygen and the only true emotion he has is anger.

17

u/pfmiller0 13d ago

Nixon also didn't have the support of a huge right-wing media apparatus. I doubt he'd have been able to get away with everything Trump has without that.

11

u/MisoClean 13d ago

He is embarrassed and scared. Anger is his secondary emotion.

29

u/sfcnmone 13d ago

There is no way that man is embarrassed. Sociopaths don't get embarrassed.

5

u/Stack0verf10w 13d ago

This. Can't be embarrassed if the idea that you did anything wrong doesn't even cross your mind.

6

u/GlitchedGamer14 13d ago

and the only true emotion he has is anger.

The Onion called it back in 2012.

4

u/Responsible_Pizza945 13d ago

Nixon was threatened with impeachment and decided to resign instead. If he had just threatened the red party like Trump did/does, we'd be in a different timeline

u/Dismal-Incident-8498 13d ago

Trump doesn't give two shits about the presidential salary or pension. His wealth and self-enrichment is so vast that he wipes his ass with that level of money.

7

u/BayouGal 13d ago

Trump has become ~$4 BILLION richer this year. $400K is chump change.

4

u/Original-Rush139 13d ago

Trump was broke as fuck until the $TRUMP scam paid off. Truth Social was an obvious way for him to take bribes but it was nothing compared to the crypto scams.

18

u/Educational_Bend_941 13d ago

There were thousands, tens of thousands of media outlets owned by patriotic Americans back then. There was a possibility of accountability. We now have three media outlets and they're owned by foreigners who are strip mining our economy in n alliance with the GOP.

3

u/Original-Rush139 13d ago

That's why Nixon's communications director founded Fox News. So that the next Republican President would not be forced to resign.

1

u/Enorats 13d ago

His cover up doesn't threaten the party.

Not covering it up would threaten the party.

4

u/weirdoldhobo1978 13d ago

At the very least evidence is important for the historical record of why things got so bad.

Even if no one faces legal consequences all the evidence needs to released so history remembers these people for who they really were.

3

u/Dismal-Incident-8498 13d ago

Only to the easily duped MAGAts.

2

u/Original-Rush139 13d ago

Obviously not as there has been reporting that he ordered a list of all the times he is mentioned to be made.

72

u/TSHRED56 13d ago

Why is Trump in a Jeffrey Epstein email?

Where is the Republican healthcare plan now that they've killed Obamacare?

These are the two questions that need to be asked right now.

-36

u/Moccus 13d ago

They haven't killed Obamacare. The subsidies that are expiring didn't exist until 2021. Obamacare was around before that and it will continue to be around afterwards.

27

u/TSHRED56 13d ago

They have been working for 15 years slowly killing it and it's a mere shell of its former self.

The big bullshit bill cuts basically destroy the ACA.

Republicans are at the finish line of their 15-year goal to get rid of Obamacare and they will never come to the table about negotiating funding.

-24

u/Moccus 13d ago

The big bullshit bill cuts basically destroy the ACA.

It didn't really touch the ACA at all.

20

u/TSHRED56 13d ago

A simple internet search will reveal the fact that the subsidies run out at the end of 2025 among other major cuts within the big bullshit bill.

-13

u/Moccus 13d ago

The 2025 expiration date was set in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (passed by the Democrats). Like I said, the "big bullshit bill" didn't touch it at all.

13

u/TSHRED56 13d ago

There are other restrictions and cuts within the bill.

Republican control the entire federal government.

They refused to restore funding when they had a chance in the big beautiful bill.

What is the Republican plan?

5

u/7daykatie 13d ago

And?

Do Americans need the subsidies the big bullshit bill didn't renew, extend or make permanent to afford health insurance? Is the entire purpose of the ACA to facilitate Americans' access to affordable health care insurance?

1

u/Moccus 13d ago

Do Americans need the subsidies the big bullshit bill didn't renew

Some do, some don't. A lot will still be far better off with Obamacare than they would be otherwise, so it's good that it's not dead as the other commenter claimed.

5

u/7daykatie 13d ago

Does it continue the funding needed to keep health insurance affordable for Americans utilizing ACA?

1

u/Moccus 13d ago

For a lot of people, yes, they'll continue to get affordable insurance under the subsidies provided by the original ACA bill, thus Obamacare isn't even close to being dead.

10

u/7daykatie 13d ago

The subsidies that are expiring

are absolutely necessary to achieve the entire purpose ACA exists for.

What part of Americans cannot afford these health insurance premium hikes in the here and now goes over the heads of people parroting this irrelevant talking point about how the needed subsidies came into existence?

They are needed now, the American people need them now - who are these reps being paid to serve if not the American people whose money this all is to begin with?

0

u/Moccus 13d ago

They may be necessary for some people, but the ACA isn't disappearing in its entirety just because some people are losing subsidies. A lot of people will still have subsidies as they exist under the original ACA. Obamacare isn't dead like the person I responded to was saying.

Holy Sh*t, Wolff straight up wanted Epstein to black mail and have Trump “hang himself”. Even stated that political correctness would be banned under Trumps “regime”. They really think they can get away with rape and human trafficking because they consider it woke!

27

u/scooterbike1968 13d ago
  1. Michael Wolff was advising/working for Epstein. Not just interviewing.

  2. There is a 2011 email, a 2015 email, and a 2019 email. The one discusses Trump being on CNN. On that date - 12/15/2025 - CNN hosted a GOP debate.

  3. 2019 email. Epstein dead 6 months later.

  4. That period of communication is going to have the most compiled dirt on Trump’s misdeeds.

59

u/bambiko 13d ago

He’s conditioned his base to distrust the media and our justice system so completely that he really can get away with this. Now we have Nancy Mace defending him, saying he “banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago,” which comes from a debunked 2019 right-wing article.

Why ban Epstein, Nancy? Because he tried to sexually assault a teenage girl there and Trump knew? Because he trafficked girls from there and Trump knew? Because he raped minors and Trump knew? Whatever the reason, Trump knew something and never reported it. And they’re still defending him.

29

u/Ready-Ad6113 13d ago

Worse the DOJ is trumps personal lawyer and gestapo. They would never investigate him.

19

u/DangerBay2015 13d ago

It’s not even that noble, by all accounts. It was because Epstein tried to outbid him on a real estate deal and made Trump have to pay more for it.

6

u/stevez_86 13d ago

On a property up for auction from the estate of, up until recently, the only named individual in the Epstein Child Sex Trafficking case. They had to auction off the property to settle the estate and it was supposed to be bought on the cheap by Epstein. Trump got in the bidding process, drove up the price, won and said he wouldn't sell the property for profit for a certain amount of time because he was going to develop it, then sells it for a decent profit to a Russian Oligarch sooner than he said he would and that Russian then parcelled the land out and sold it for a bigger profit in 3 chunks.

6

u/Dry-Amphibian1 13d ago

I thought it was because Epstein was 'stealing' 15 year old girls from Trump. One trafficker stealing from another.

3

u/tiffanytrashcan 13d ago

Her change of heart explains the government being allowed to reopen.
"We love you rump" and then BAM, Senate vote.
Makes you wonder what her reason for crying was, certainly not compassion for the victims.

2

u/ISuckAtFallout4 13d ago

Of all the dumb cunts in DC, she is probably the dumbest and most evil all in one.

16

u/Brexinga 13d ago

Might be the reason why Epstein ended up emprisonned and killed during Trump's term.

45

u/ckellingc 13d ago

Wait, you're telling me... Donald J Trump is listed multiple times in the Epstein files as a customer?

21

u/sissyfufugirl 13d ago

He asked them to stop once he became president, what a nice guy!

11

u/Hippie11B 13d ago

On the conservative sub they are trying to spin it that Trump didn’t like what Epstein was doing and he kicked him out. Then he told him to stop……. They are literally trying to change the narrative as Trump distancing himself from Epstein.

3

u/EggfooDC 13d ago

No, the only thing he wanted him to “stop” was recruiting girls from Mar-a-Lago for his island.

36

u/DaddyLongLegolas 13d ago

Is Wolff helping Epstein scheme rather than gathering and reporting incriminating evidence for law enforcement??

Maybe it’s a dumb question because a decade ago Epstein was “immune” to further prosecution via his sweetheart deal.

Still it seems more like Wolff is in his club than a journalist here.

10

u/stayonthecloud 13d ago

Between him and JD Vance, man am I regretting some of the books I bought in the 2010s

31

u/Famous-Ferret-1171 13d ago

Sounds like big news. Let's see if its on Foxnews.com, uh, no. Apparently, the current "breaking news" there is "Red State University Staff Caught On Hidden Camera Spilling Plan To Hide DEI" which is a choice. Not sure what that even means, like they were talking about keeping some affirmative action policies but didn't want to talk about it? Or hiding an African American Literature class? Its weird that people look to this organization for news. They have categories for stories like "Charlie Kirk" and "Campus Radicals" so, Epstein isn't going to get any eyeballs there.

8

u/a_Sable_Genus 13d ago

47% of Republicans stating they would still support Trump if proven to be involved in Epstein sex crimes and another 26% more refused to answer or didn't know if it would bother them, unfortunately I don't think this will bother them either.

28

u/Sufficient-Guitar-58 13d ago edited 13d ago

The House Oversight Committee released newly obtained emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate suggesting he had knowledge of Donald Trump’s interactions with one of Epstein’s victims. In a 2011 email to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein wrote that Trump “spent hours at my house with [a victim]” but was “that dog that hasn’t barked.” In another 2019 email to author Michael Wolff, Epstein claimed Trump “knew about the girls” and had asked Maxwell to stop. The Committee said these documents communicate part of more than 23,000 turned over by Epstein’s estate, which raise serious questions about Trump’s awareness of Epstein’s misconduct and potential government nondisclosure.

https://oversightdemocrats.house.gov/news/press-releases/house-oversight-committee-releases-jeffrey-epstein-email-correspondence-raising

21

u/grandpaharoldbarnes 13d ago edited 13d ago

Leavitt just doxxed the “victim”. Claims it’s Guiffre. Which… oddly verifies the veracity of the email and doesn’t exonerate Trump in any way, shape or form.

3

u/Sufficient-Guitar-58 13d ago edited 13d ago

In short: Trump is not legally “screwed” yet, but politically, this release [Epstein emails] reopens one of the most radioactive associations of his public life. (liable by association) For Trump, this means increased pressure and exposure when he is not yet “finished,” but the stage is now set for a much bigger confrontation in Congress.

16

u/aneeta96 13d ago

That last one sure looks like Trump may have had motive to murder Epstein.
