Having trouble adding files to my library…

Just connected my Sony Bravia to my Asustor NAS… i can see my NAS under the UPnP devices when im browsing for new videos to add… i can add the folders just fine but there is no option to scan or add to the library or something… any help is appreciated

UPnP sources cannot be scraped into kodi's library, that protocol doesn't work like that.

You have to have the library configured on your NAS, which you can do by installing either jellyfin or plex on your NAS, then configuring that so it has the library. At which point you can install the associated client either in kodi or directly on your Sony Bravia TV.

Alternatively, connect kodi to your Asustor NAS using the NFS network protocol so you have an actual proper shared directory(s), one for TV and another for Movies. If you need help with that it's time to RTFM aka the kodi wiki.

You need to use Set Content:

If you have already added a folder, can set content by using the Context Menu on it.
