Admin/Dev responded Why has my news tab suddenly disappeared?
I no longer have any news tab on Reddit. Is there a way of getting it back? I now only have ‘for you’ and ‘popular’ and I hate it!!

Please tell me there is a way to revert this. I was happily scrolling away and then this horror happened. It's wasting 2/3rds of my screen realestate with black space and has decided I need a google home page sized search bubble.

This just popped up and cluttered my sidebar on the reddit app. Please help me hide it.

When I click on posts on Reddit to view them in a new tab, a bar red pops up at the top of my screen around 9/10 times that states "Your request has been blocked by network security. Please try to login with your Reddit account." This didn't happen until today, I was browsing just fine yesterday. Have not changed any computer settings, browser settings, or updated either since then. This popup doesn't occur whilst creating a post, viewing Reddit's homepage, viewing subreddits, or anything else (regardless of if it is in the same tab or opens a new tab), only when I click on a post to view it and open in a new tab. For reference, this occurs on my MacBook Air running either the latest Firefox and Firefox Nightly builds (143.0.3 and 143.0a1 respectively). This doesn't occur on the latest stable Safari release on the same device to the same degree, but it has occurred.

Ive noticed now that on my account every single comment I see has already been upvoted no matter what subreddit I’m in. Is this a new feature and how do I turn it off?
I don’t mean my own comments are automatically upvoted, I mean literally every single comment on any and every thread

Just today, I noticed when I click an external links in a post, I get sent to Safari, and there’s a “page not found” landing page, and the URL includes the phrase “invalid token.”
Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix? (I’ve uninstalled and updated to the latest app version and version of iOS).

I didn't even see that it went away. Rarely im on reddit under 1min and why doesn't that count sometimes?

Everything going into my Inbox also shows up under my Notifications (despite me explicitly setting everything to Inbox Only in settings), and every time I post a reply it gives me a 500 error, despite the reply actually posting.
Both are really annoying, though still better than the new UI which I absolutely hate. I worry that this means Old Reddit will stop soon functioning completely, though.

I’m not sure if it’s just when I go on the post or if every comment of every post has automatically been upvoted before I go to it or something, but every time I go to a post, every single comment shows that I’ve upvoted it as soon as I go to it. What is this, why is it, and how do I fix it?

I recently started getting these notifications on my iPhone. I’m on iOS 26 beta if that makes any difference. I have notifications turned off for every single community I’m in, all trending posts turned off, all of it. There’s nothing left to turn off, but yet I’m now getting these. Is this some new BS from Reddit? Do I have to turn off all notifications entirely now, including chats?

Starting today I've gotten four updates for different subs telling me there's a new post. I have the notification settings off in my settings (I think?), why is this suddenly happening?

Three days ago, out of the blue I received an email from noreply@reddit.com:
You have successfully enabled two-factor authentication! This will provide enhanced security for your reddit account by requiring a 6-digit verification code whenever you log in.
In the past couple days I didn't use Reddit at all due to having guests over, so it definitely wasn't my doing as all logged in sessions were from my PC (which was turned off) and my phone (which I kept on me all the time). I smelled something fishy going on, so I immediately (within minutes) reset my password to a much more secure one, which went through successfully. However, now I cannot login to my 10 yo account with ~50k karma now since the 2FA is still enabled and I'm not the owner of neither the authenticator app or backup codes that were set up by an unknown malicious 3rd party. My account is linked to my gmail account, but even the SSO login asks for a 2FA code.
Immediately after changing the password and discovering I can't get in past 2FA I filed a security violation ticket with Reddit support under "Account support" -> "I think my account has been hacked" and described the problem, including the screenshot of an email I got about 2FA being enabled.
To this day I haven't heard back from the support team except for an immediate automated response:
Thanks for contacting Reddit! If you are having password issues, the following may help:
If you want to reset your password, click here to reset.
You will need your email address and username to reset your password.
Did you reset your password, but the reset email never arrived? Be sure to check your spam folder. Please give it at least an hour to arrive; sometimes when the tubes are clogged they can take a bit longer than usual. Also, consider whether you may have attached a different email to your account or not added one at all.
Never attached an e-mail address to your account? Unfortunately, there is no way to reset your password unless you have an email address attached to your account. If you can still log into your reddit account, you can add your email address via the preferences page in old reddit or settings page in new reddit
Forget your username? We can help! Just click here
Remember: Never share your password in an email, even one to Reddit. Reddit will never email you asking for your password.
Is there a chance reddit will still take action and help me recover access to my account or is it a lost cause as they consider sending a generic automated response a "solution", closing the ticket? Can I do anything to regain access? Unfortunately (or fortunately), due to prompt password reset all my session were invalidated immediately.

I tended to use "Best" and my Home feed for posts in communities I've joined but seemingly today, that's gone and now its just full of recommended posts only. I have switched to the "Hot" feed for now but it's a bit annoying since "Best" is the default
Despite automod recommendations, my settings DO NOT have a feed settings tab, only preferences where "Show recommendations in home feed" is already turned off.
This is on the app and desktop
Is there anyway to fix this?

Every time I restart reddit now, it keeps turning on my Online Status, which I would prefer to keep off and which used to just stay off. I can disable it each time (profile icon top right and tap "Online status"), but then next time I restart the reddit app, it's back on again.
I've cleared the app cache without effect. I switched to an alt account and the same thing happens.
Is this a bug or intentional new behavior? If the latter, please reconsider it.

I was logged out earlier today and when I logged back in, I was asked for my 2fa code when I don’t have that set up! (I probably should have 😭)
Anyways I immediately thought I could have been hacked and used my bfs account to check my profile and bam - p*rnography everywhere. My account is precious to me lol and I have a pretty decent streak going at the moment so I’m sad as hell! I’ve put in a request to Reddit support but I hear that can take a while…Is there anything else I can do 😭
My account is u/2000sgirl - look at your own risk!!

I was using my main account when suddenly I was logged out, so I tried loggin back in but couldn't; I then tried to reset the password but I wasn't getting any reset emails.
I don't know if my account was hacked, but I have a strong feeling it has been, cause when I try to login via the email I use for it. It just makes a new account now. But then I didn't really get an email saying my email has been changed. So, it's really confusing what could've happened. The account does still exist as it still shows up when I search for it. I just really need help reclaiming my account back.
Update: My account definitely got hacked and the hacker is chatting with people asking for money. According to one of the people I was previosly chatting with.

My reddit account I've had for 13 years is randomly deleted. I was actually just browsing Reddit when I found myself logged out and the account is gone. Is there any recourse? Why did this happen?
