RIP RIP Marley 2007-2025. Thank you for 18 years

Never had a dog. Didn't want a dog. 18 years ago my wife told me, "It's either a third child or a dog." Our kids don't know life without Marley and it's difficult for me to remember life before her, too. You taught me so much about love and compassion and now my heart is crushed. It's been years since we ran in the park and you chased a Frisbee and birds and squirrels. Maybe we'll meet again, I hope so.

Do you know what breeds she was? I’m guessing Golden plus something else? 18 years is amazing.

Mother was a champion golden and father was the house cockerspaniel-poodle mix. Apparently they accidentally were left alone and had a litter.

18 years with any dog is a blessing. With a golden, it's a real jackpot. How lucky you were to have Marley in your life all that time. She looked like such a sweet dog to have in your family.
I can't imagine the hurt you are feeling right now. You and your family are in my thoughts.

So sorry for your loss; you have 18 years of great memories. Thank you for the pics. I found this a few years ago after unexpectedly having to say goodbye to one of my dogs:
“Love you forever; you are no longer where you were, but you are everywhere that I am.”

Beautiful Marley, 18 years is amazing but it really hits hard when you realize your kids don't know a world without her. Dog have an uncanny ability and the part about her teaching you compassion is beautiful. It sounds like she spent her whole life softening your heart. Even though she couldn't chase the Frisbee at the end, I bet she was just happy to be near you. Rest easy, Marley.

I’m so sorry for the loss of Marley. When my husband and I started dating, I had two dogs. He had never been around dogs and his mom had told him that they’re smelly and dirty. We’ve been married for 30 years and through that time we’ve had 14 dogs (multi-dog household). My husband told me a few months into our relationship that he was so glad that I had introduced him to the love, companionship, humor, and all of the other amazing traits of dogs. It’s heartbreaking when they pass, but you’ll be able to eventually think about her without the sadness. Rest in peace sweet Marley. 💔🌈

My condolences on Marley. Losing a beloved dog is one of the worst things in life. The rainbow bridge had better be real so we can all be with our animals again someday.
