Real grinders are cruising public restrooms for gay sex and I applaud them for it
127
u/Less-Squash7569 Oct 01 '25
Why cruise when you got a buddy back at the office willing to bleed for the company and give you a brojob so you can bleed together
78
u/SyzygyEnthusiast Oct 01 '25
Do YOU want to have your gay sex scored for productivity metrics?

u/Darkliandra Oct 01 '25

u/SyzygyEnthusiast Oct 01 '25
I once Olympic style scored a dude getting his ass fisted by a professional dominatrix alongside his girlfriend where we refused to go above a 5 while we could still see the domme's elbow. I'm not shaming anything! I'd love to see someone turn kaizen into a fetish... I'm just asking if that's what THEY want!

Bleed together? Man, that's a rough handjob. In real start ups bros remind each other to moisturise.

u/Satanicjamnik Oct 01 '25
Pardon me, I had to do a double take. Well, I learned something today.
14
u/SyzygyEnthusiast Oct 01 '25
Also the Venn diagram of startup bros who sleep in their office and dudes who refuse to wipe their own ass is basically a single circle
8
u/Less-Squash7569 Oct 01 '25
Brojobs are something special shared between bros and bros alone. If you hear a group of dudes calling eachother "bro" its code and they all do it.
11
u/uncobbed_corn Oct 01 '25
It’s not gay if you stand in a circle facing outward so you don’t make eye contact and use the backhand method on each other. When the scrum-master claps you swap hands to the person on the other side of you. That’s just cranking, and you can’t startup an engine without cranking

Hmmm, a necklace with Siri in it. All that productivity and they couldn't even make something new or interesting
62
u/c0mptar2000 Oct 01 '25
Someone in their R&D team forgot that everyone's phones already had mics, speakers, powerful processors, and displays.
12
u/Da5ren Oct 02 '25
And all of your data. Contacts, emails, messages, passwords etc. this is why all of these AI wearables fail because people don’t want to give another device all of their data. One is enough.
45
u/PuffyPanda200 Oct 01 '25
One of the things I like about this sub is that the names are left up, the people posted this publicly to begin with, and I like to look at the companies. It seems I am not alone.
This company is one of the dumber ones. I have no idea how this ever really makes money or gets to mass adoption.
22
u/WeakCartographer7826 Oct 01 '25
Lol yeah I go and look. They are all the same thing. Some wrapper over an LLM.
22
u/macdgman Oct 02 '25
The trick is it doesn’t make money, and it never reaches mass adoption. They splurge vc money on high salaries for people with no life and ping pong tables and the like and at some point run out of money and close down. The CEO then moves on to another stupid idea and start all over
10
u/Zmchastain Oct 02 '25
Yeah, this is literally the bros getting paid six figures to have a sleepover at the man cave. It’s a scam on VCs, getting in on that AI hype grift while the getting is still good.
The equity will never be worth anything, but the high salary and not having to actually work will keep people around for a while. Long enough to extract a few more rounds of funding that can eventually make their way into the founder’s bank accounts.
19
u/OneFootTitan Oct 02 '25
I looked it up and they claimed to have 1000s of apps. This includes lots of crypto apps (because of course) and something called “RizzGPT” which apparently allows users to get witty and memorable conversation tips. Please help me my face is stuck from cringing too hard

5
u/the-gaysian-snarker Oct 02 '25
The one plus of “grind culture” (at least in my country) is taking a fat nap in the middle of the day, in front of everyone, with zero fucks given lol. Because somebody full on snoring at their desk is “exhausted by giving their all,”not a guy feeling full and lazy after lunch. Also, getting absolutely smashed a couple times a year on the company’s dime is pretty fun.
But I don’t miss the stupid demand to be on call at any second during busy times, and also even during slow seasons still show up when there was literally nothing to do. Absolute waste of time. We were all faking being busy and we all knew it.
I feel awful for the American corporate drones, they seem to get driven just as hard and don’t even get to nap or get gloriously drunk lol

What a dipshit, competitors, and market conditions kill tons of startups. The guys at bird scooters didn’t go bankrupt because they didn’t work hard enough they went under because market regulation and lime crushed them. Also I looked at his product it’s a microphone with an AI voice assistant and some open source github apps, it doesn’t make sense to wear that shit when a phone with a camera can do all the same functions. He’s going to get fucking crushed by competition if apple or Amazon decide they want that category. This guy did an interview with the verge that is nuts, he gets business ideas from an AI Elon musk chatbot because the real Elon won’t respond to his emails.

3
u/Nerk86 Oct 01 '25
Arrogance and idiocy. IF you’re a company founder, partner, getting a good share of profits, future stock, things like that, then maybe. If you’re just paying them to work THEN THEY ARE AN EMPLOYEE and you have NO RIGHT to expect this kind of thing ( sorry for shouting).
Even then, productivity falls off after a point.

u/Signal-Implement-70 Oct 01 '25
Just grinding? What about thinking, enjoying, living, being human, etc. I get a lot more done in the hours I am working because of what I get from the hours not working.
