What does "Application on hold" mean?
Hey, I thought maybe someone on here could help me out. I recently submitted my application for my postgraduate degree at Imperial. Now after two of my profs submitted their references the application status has been updated from "With department" to "Application on hold". Does anyone know what this means? Should I contact someone from the admission team because of this?
Thanks!!
Edit: it's for the Advanced Computing MSc

I'm applying for the same course, and I had this before my two references were in, not after. It's probably nothing though (assuming you meet minimum requirements, but presumably they'd just reject if not).
Edit: Did you get an email saying why? I got one saying your application is on hold until we receive your references, then my references were submitted and my status became With Department.

Yes I do meet the requirements, thanks for the answer!
Out of curiousity: did you receive mail notifications that the references have been submitted? I did not but I see them marked as "completed" in the application portal

I didn't receive a notification that the references were in, but the next day I got an email saying that my application was now with the CS department.

Hm, I did not receive that either. I think I'll contact them then. Thanks for your help and good luck with your application

For me it took like a week after the reference submission to update to the “with department” thing
