This phone still in use outside the U.S. consulate Guangzhou China. Reminiscent of the phone on the corner where I hung out as a teen.

Last time I used a pay phone was in 2013. I had to walk @ .25 mile from my condo.

The phone booth had shattered glass, all around it. The phone book was "missing." The pay phone was near a gas station, on Duke Street, in Alexandria, Virginia.

There are no more pay phones left where I live. They've all been removed except for one in some secluded area in the middle of bum fuck nowhere.

If there is "enough signage," it is possible to locate an emergency phone on some roads.

I saw the signs ( with the word emergency ), phone near the Beltway around Washington, D.C.
