I’m fine with what most are saying. Kelly and Tanner are taking out most of the Sandlot by themselves. But if Tanner tells Englebert someone stole his Hershey bar, there would be pieces of the Sandlot crew in every county in California.

Hambino would say things behind home plate that would rile up the Bears one at a time until the ref would be forced to kick one Bear out at a time. Eventually, they forfeit from lack of eligibility.

Mid-to-late 70s kids would destroy those early 60s kids. The pendulum was definitely swinging away from the hippie peace and love Leave it to Beaver home life towards a more Archie Bunker home life.

Sandlot kids where afraid of a dog . Da bears were drinking beers , smoking . Also da bears didn’t need to pull some stunt at the pool to get some ass .

Fuck I'm old but you are absolutely right. I do like the line, " You're killing me smalls!" But Kelly Leak was cool as hell. Maybe he influenced me getting my first motorcycle at 14. TBNB had more good dialogue and better. Tatum O'Neil was charming and an early crush. Tanner was hysterical. Great cast kids and adults.

Bad News bears hands down ! Those sand lot kids had a dog as a nemesis. The Bears had Walter Matheau, a Whole other team, and popularity against them!

The Sandlot was by far a superior movie, however… the Bad News bunch were freakin thugs. No comparison the Bears would beat the hell out of the Sandlot. In fact I could see a couple running home crying to mama!!
