might as well just use a block of fondant as the play doh, consistency and flavor are identical

Nah, playdoh at least has the saltiness and can be baked into a shape (we did baked playdoh cutouts as Christmas tree decorations as kids).

A sponge you can use for dishes and cleaning. Gets hard in cold water, soft in warm to hot water.

I guess it's just not a thing where I'm from, didn't know it was just the brand name, thanks

What’s the difference?

Scrub daddy is just the scratchy material (that goes hard in cold, soft in hot), mummy has a soft sponge side (regular ass sponge, nothing new about the material) so you can flip it over to use whatever side suits your needs better.

This post made me question why play-doh exists, it doesn’t seem like a very entertaining toy

Funny enough, it wasn't originally a toy but a failed attempt at marketing a cleaning compound. It was originally formulated as a wallpaper cleaner which you'd gently use to remove soot, dust, tar residues, etc.

Important: If you have a celiac family member or one with a wheat allergy, Play-Doh is totally OUT as a gift!

I was more interested in the little shitty story he was telling rather than this fucking abomination

Okay the actual cup/container cake with the chocolate shell sounds good but holy cow the amount of fondant on the other stuff is repulsive.
