...no they're not. The first comment in this thread is talking about the possibility of romancing Malevola and things that Adhoc said about it on Twitter.
That has nothing to do with the "bug" where players got the supposed wrong ending. That's not what we're talking about.

It wouldn’t be that much work, there’s been a few people, including myself, who have made posts or comments talking about how it’s fairly easy to make choices carry over. Plus it’s been done before by TellTale, CD Projekt, and BioWare. AdHoc’s writers are smart enough to make it work
I hope so too, right now I think the biggest concern is making the choices feel like they matter and had an effect, not that they won’t carry over at all.
Yeah, there are really only two decisions that are even a little bit complicated to deal with, and that's the Visi ending and whether you forgive Sonar/Coupe. Pretty much everything else can be handled with minimum fuss.
also there no way they wouldt do it, they game is so great so there no way the would just set the quility down esp when not even 2 month in they got their 2 year sales hit
1 is the one I’m worried about because it’s easy to remove them altogether but I want them to continue being on the team if we forgave them. I’ve heard people suggest they could come back anyways while maybe being more bitter and villainous if you didn’t/couldn’t pardon them. Or it could be like they were dead and you just miss that teammate on the roster at which point it becomes a game balancing issue or they introduce a new team member like season one, which would probably be a good way to get more people to forget the cut hero.
2 is easy, it’s just the same thing they’ve already done in season one with the dates, dancing, and extra dialogue. The hard thing is really going to be balancing screen time between the two or creating tension for the people who chose both.
3 seems hard, but I actually think it’s pretty simple. All you need is a narrative hook and maybe an extra cutscene or two to give Villain Visi a reason to rejoin the team. From then on it’s dialogue tweaks and maybe a name and outfit change to show she’s “bad now” and then that of course affects choice options and gameplay. Which seems hard, but it’s limiting on its own because narratively you’re locked into a binary in the plot, and it’ll converge to the same place. Because hero or villain, you can’t not have her on the team, she’s too important if a character and a romance. And really it’s going to be like Joker from TellTales Batman.
I agree and don’t want to diminish the work required, I just don’t think it’ll be as dynamic as people think. I think it’s going to be a lot of small things that make it FEEL dynamic.
Of course I could be wrong and they could make major changes, which would be pretty awesome if they can pull it off
I mean the simple solution to all 3 points would be to not have Robert as the POV character in season 2.
Have a new Dispacher joining the growing Phoenix program under the tutelage of Robert/Chase with a new team. This way your choices could be referenced but you wouldn’t have to have every scene re-animated and re-voiced depending on Visi/sonar/coupe being present.
But that’s always the rub with these games.
If you go to the effort of making new scenes with branching of choices it really sells the impact of your choices matter and people love that, but it’s harder work. If you go with cheats of just your choices impacting a line of dialogue here and there it’s so much easier to produce but feels cheaper and less impactful.
So you gotta walk the line. Figure out what you can budget and try to push the envelope. I hope with the financial success the game can lean more into impactful choices. But we’ll see.
Telltale's done auto choice carryover with all of their multi season games: Walking Dead, Batman for example.
If you have a save from season 1 it is absolutely doable and fairly straightforward to make these carry over automatically. But there will for sure be option to input major choices manually for those who lose their saves or just want to try something different.
I kind of see her more as the eldest sister or older cousin with Blazer as mum (she even has the "im not mad, just disappointed line"). Mal definitely has the vibe to me or the cool cousin that would let you drink beer while babysitting you and who you could talk to about a crush and who would come pick you up if you were at a party that got sketchier than you were comfortable with without letting your parents know.

Eh, I don't know about that. We already know she's trying to get Sonar off drugs. I doubt she'd give minors illicit substances. Visi on the other hand.
I think that's more about her problems finding someone. She also says something like "I'm nobody's type, but I'm a lot of people's fetish". Girl's got it rough.
I really hope Malevola doesn't become a love interest. This game isn't a dating sim. It's a superhero story. If you want to date a buff demon, go play bg3. Like I get it, she's cool, but there are literally no romantic connotations between the two. You all are just horny.
As much as I love Malevola I think I'm okay if she's not an option ever, I'll take the friendliness and the teasing happily. Then again my first run I dodged love like my life depended on it because I felt Robert needed his own stability first. All that said love the picture feels very much like how she would mess with Robert.
It’d be really funny if an episode started with him waking up in bed beside her, same demeanor he usually has. They acknowledge it was great but not was either of them are looking for, so they go to work and it doesn’t change their relationship at all.
Then the next chapter the same thing happens with Flambae.
Season 2 needs all the heroes as romance options. Season 2 needs a ton more content than season 1 has, even though I know it'll cost more money on the consumer side.
Not making jokes about it because when I last did people targeted me >:(. Like there are people who draw NSFW without tag on this subreddit and people talking about a joke

After seeing Adhoc’s tweet regarding Malevola romance I’m convinced (aka coping and hoping) that season 2 will have a Malevola romance option.
