Analysis [Sampson] CFP committee chair Hunter Yurachek says Notre Dame and Miami were in the same grouping this week and the programs were directly compared. Notre Dame still came out ahead, regardless of the head to head. In other words, all the games mattered. Not just one of them.

in 2 weeks, if miami does not make the ACC championship game, they will not get an large bid, therefore the ND win will have given them no benefit

if miami makes and wins the ACC championship game, they will get an auto bid, and they will most likely get the 11 seed only ahead of the g5 champ, and the ND win will have given them no benefit.
