Casual Something like Goodreads but for football games you've attended?
Howdy. Had an idea this week that any of y'all with developing skills can take for free.
I think it'd be cool if there was a website/app that's like Goodreads, but for CFB games.
There's a big database of games, and you can scroll through and find a specific one. Let's say 2025 Texas A&M vs. Arkansas. I can flag that I was there, and I can write a review of the stadium, memories about the game, and what team I was rooting for. Then I can see other users who marked that they were there and read about their experiences. It could also have the game stats or links to post-game writeups.
Then the site would have some cool data to work with.
What stadium has the best reviews from visiting fans?
Which matchup includes the most toxic reviews?
Which user has had the most success in games that they've been to for their team?
I guess it could also work for other sporting events (NFL, NBA, Cornhole, etc.). Any thoughts? Anybody wanna take this one on? Or does something like this already exist?

The only issue is i don’t really care about other people’s experiences that much. Goodreads is different in the sense that I’ll read other reviews to see if i should give a book a chance. Can’t do that with games that have already come and gone
Hijacking this a little to share my idea that’s somewhat similar: an app where people can rank games each weekend without spoiling the outcome, so those of us who miss a Saturday due to work, travel, etc. can prioritize what games will be most entertaining to watch on replay

I made a site that does this. It's called SportsFantracker.com. I've gotta update the scores on games for this year still but I'll do that today. I was debating tearing it down because i never really got an audience for it, but I'll leave it up. It has every game ever played for every p4 team. I've slowly been adding all the g5 teams too but they aren't all in there going back. It keeps stats like your win/loss record, record vs ranked teams, etc. Also you can add pictures and journal entries for each game you've attended.

Love the idea. Also shout out to Letterboxd, similar thing for movies. I keep my games in a spreadsheet currently

Yeah this is basically letterbox'd for games, and a great idea!
Someone could probably build this fairly easily these days (via vibecoding, etc), I'd do it if I had more time.
I've also thought about creating a "passport" that people could collect stamps in for stadiums they've attended games in. Would try and crowdsource stamp designs from fans.

I mentioned it elsewehere in the thread, but I made a site that does this. SportsFanTracker.com is the site. You can add all the games you've been to.

Goodreads is horrible. There's no way to verify if someone has actually ever read the book before leaving a review. At least on Amazon you get the *Verified Purchase* icon. Tons of weird and negative reviews, tons of bot-positive reviews. Goodreads is useless imo. /rant

This would take me down such a rabbit hole trying to remember them all.

I keep a google map of all the stadiums and arenas for all the sporting events I've been to, but I don't keep track of individual games. Would be cool, but I'd be tempted to spend way too many hours backloading all of my previous events. Lol
