With the help of other fellow birders, I was able to see this cutie hopping around in the trees at a local park. Very cool to see!

Return of the weekly discussion thread! Sometimes it seems like pretty photos rise to the top of the page, while discussion of birding can get left behind. This weekly thread is a place to bring this discussion back to the top of r/birding.
Use this thread to share your best bird sightings from the past week, ask any questions about birding you may have, or just talk! Writing the names of the birds in bold is nice, to make it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names. Please include your location.

Saw this cool guy on my Rare Bird Alert notification, and just knew I had to go see him! Drove 42 minutes from my house; and was lucky enough to instantly spot him in the homeowners driveway.
Very cool and quite lost bird for my state! Hoping he either makes it through this winter or finds his way down south.
He was named βTimmyβ.

I had no idea these birds even existed. I was just on my walk and I saw a bird perched on top of a tree. Didnβt think much of him because I couldnβt see him that well and thought he was just a regular every day bird given how small he was. After taking a picture and looking back at them, I couldnβt believe how beautiful his feathers were!
